Of course you can take the conspiracy theory he’s talking about COPL and hiding it in context to the price of oil but I’d call that grasping at straws. Best for him to confirm. (Or she, I don’t mean any disrespect, but thought Berta was a male)
I don’t know he’s not referring to COPL but he doesn’t say he is, does he? There is a grade of Canadian crude (WSC) that has been beaten down because of transportation bottlenecks, it’s at something like $40 discount to WTI. As a Calgargian, he’s likely exposed to Canadian energy companies and there is a lot of chatter regarding government intervention to decrease that differential. I don’t see where he points out he’s talking about COPL at all. Do you? He has always had good info from attending AGMs but has never claimed to know things before others.
Agreed, there are some bullish ideas being tossed around for WTI and more specifically Canadian western select that we’re currently getting $15/barrel for. He’s not hearing big things for COPL specifically. Nobody is so don’t feel misled.
NoEasy - I’ve respected your balanced posts and now it seems you firmly believe something positive is about to happen. Assuming it does, and taking into account the current share count and company/warrants outstanding, where do you actually see this stock going?
Bob, no disrespect but everyone was confident 14 months ago that this way a done deal. Unfortunately we cannot take anything at face value. I have not been vocal lately but have been reading and appreciate the lengths some are going to truly understand what the hell is happening. My fear is Not bankruptcy because let’s be honest, Art is a sales guy, but rather this company gets re-capitalized and holds the license while destroying everyone that has been along for this painful journey. Why not leave? Because there’s a chance. If I were only down 20-30% it’d be a different story.
That’s part of the problem. The secret is out and not even an indigenous partner seems to be able to move the needle on this block. Someone will drill it, my question is if it will be us or someone else. If it wasn’t so highly prized we’d have already been in and out by now.
Agreed. I can tell you no company with a vision of being a mid tier producer should have anything to do with the exchange they’re headed to but Art’s back is clearly up against the wall there. Hopefully a wake up call.
I agree that something has certainly happened to force that kind of trading in canada but no news to speak of yet. Company should be forced to come out with release saying they don’t have any knowledge of the spike in volume. I bet they know something but the volume was not significant enough of a % of float (because there is a gazillion shares) to force that.
Canadian slum listing. That’s too bad but the LSE is most important moving forward. Could be a reason for the selling if this is imminent. If it wasn’t Irwin or any other insider, I wouldn’t be too worried. If it was then all bets are off.
Nobody expects anything from Rift because he’s been the captain of the “news next week” team for over six months. Very similar to ABMAN who feels the need to challenge any negative or balanced post by pounding his chest and using the same presentation facts that are easily found by any investor. NoEasy and a select few on the other hand have saved this BB from turning into a complete circus. For the last bloody time, this stock carries a HUGE amount of risk. It always has. Some will tell you otherwise. Those people are either broke, gone, or desperately trying to hang in. I do not spend the time researching or have the expertise that these select few do but I’ve always expressed how careful investors need to be when jumping in. And guess what, a few select people have attacked me every time. If you’re not going to listen to NoEasy, don’t listen to anyone.
Well here we are. A place where many debated we could be heading for based on rational thought and historical context. Yet there were many that were dismissive and outright verbally attacked others for having the discussion. I expect like some posters of the past, there are a few vocal ones Over the past months that won’t likely return. Shame on anybody that “ramps” a stock and perhaps we should all give a bit of thought to what those labelled “derampers” were saying. If some weren’t too busy swearing at us, perhaps they’d have saved themselves 40%. Now you see why many investors wait until after news hits.
