I agree divi collector. If you divide each value by the number of shares, it works out over time£9 per share. Maybe they originally paid that price for the shares ?

Paying 825m off early could mean an interest saving of about 150m ?? But the market cap has gone up one billion with the SP going up 6% so the savings don’t match The main thing here is that they’re proving that they’ve loads of money cus they’re wanting to pay off their debts early when other airlines are struggling

I’ve just sold my holding of 550k after today’s news. Long term this share will be well above £5 but I’m afraid short term the Orange man is going to keep it down. I’ll definitely be buying back if they drop

Even with 11% short they can’t force it down ! That to me means there’s buying going off or maybe we’re NOT going to hear that it’s doom and gloom and the upcoming agm 🤔

Yes I’ve been watching the Spanish trading of iag today. So not looking good for tomorrow unless there’s some good news. Only consolation is that it was on very little trading volume of 5m when uk average is 23m and the uk usually takes the lead on the share direction. 🤞

I don’t think it’s bulls or bears or 20 day trading period that’s determining the share price…. It’s the donkey across the pond that’s got himself and his family insider trading on what he’s going to say next 🙄

No justification for such large a pay rise Crossley. Company directors already make a fortune out of share options , but thats not the case this year with Vistry’s drop in share price. They should be penalised for bad performance , but this only seems to happen the lower down the payroll you are.

I’m optimistic that the accounting is in order and that the shorts are keeping this down. If there looks like any signs of recovery then the shorts will leave and we’ll see the SP rise.

Thanks Crossley, yes I understand the difference between tangible and intangible assets. Didn’t realise that this was related to the overpayment of countryside. So it can be a little worrying if they decide to write down this asset. Thanks again 👍

Yes I agree that the property asking price is far too high for what people can afford to pay. But materials costs will have forced these up. Back on the Vistry £1156 intangible assets compared to none with Permission, someone has got to be doing their accounting differently ? Do you think that this large asset is Vistry counting agreed sales of property not yet or partially built ? I can’t think of anything else it could be, being such a large amount.

I read on the accounts of vty that sales are 42% up so far up to March. And if they are only valuing their stock at cost then even with a reduced margin it still looks like profit will be higher than 2025. . The shorts are having a large effect on this share with the help of Trump.

Hi Crossley I agree with the bwy comparison but I don’t understand the Vistry £6.79 , and I know it says £6.79 on the accounts but if you take the net assets of 3324 and divide by the 318m shares it comes out at £10.45 Any idea what I’m doing wrong ?

Vistry has £3.3 billion of assets over liabilities yet the market value at this price is only £1.29 billion. So more than 2.5 times their value. That’s why I’m buying into this stock. Admittedly they have 10% more inventory than previous years , mainly because people can’t afford. So they’re selling at a reduced margin. Right thing to do !

Don’t think it’s profit taking, there’s a lot of shorts on this share. They’re trying to force it down to bail out. The next will be the fund managers forcing it down so that they can buy in their millions. This will recover today

I think I’ve realised why Fridays are quite often bad days for IAG. The market doesn’t want to hold such a volatile stock over the weekend in case the Orange man kicks off !!

ii take the **** really because then they give you a crap rate to convert into £s. my fidelity ones converted straight into gbp at full market rate. to be fair tho ii are pretty good on other fees. i use both fidelity and ii and choose the best option for fees wise. for example fidelity doesn’t charge a transaction fee to invest in a fund , but for direct share investment then ii are cheaper

II leave them paid as Euros. Go to wallet and look at Euros to see if there’s money there and when you look at transactions you need to filter and alter £ to Euros.

I think the people that chose dividend re investment are causing the rise at the moment, happening at the same time as people are saying they’ve received dividend payments. 🤗
