What are 11's?

I have owned GSK on and off since the late 1990's. I basically have them for the dividend. If I see an opportunity for a profit I will sometimes take it. My biggest regret is not taking my profit after they jumped a few weeks back when the news broke about the litigation news. I have about 6 shares that I religiously follow. Every single one of those shares on paper would have made me a substantial profit if I had bought those in place of GSK. I could have flipped a couple of time over the past few months. At the moment, I am just holding GSK for the dividend but I will be gone at the first opportunity, never to return again.

Sold 3000 at 15.35 earlier today. Missed out on the higher prices because I wasn't paying attention. Then fumbling about trying to log in and set up sell order cost me about 20p a share. Prices dropping now. Big Bid/Offer spreads. As we head toward Dow opening there may be a bit of a bounce.

That's 28000 pints for me then. Really need to exit this share and into something else.

I have bought and sold these for over 20 years. Made a bit of a profit each time. Now I am only in for the dividend. Looking at a few of my other favourites, I could have been in and out several times with a decent profit in the time I have held these.

I am actually beginning to despise this share. When I can get some sort of profit I am gone.

What just happened? A drop of 40p off it's high price? I had the finger on the sell button coming up to Dow opening. Should have pressed sooner. "Buy on rumour and sell on fact"?

Dividend also due in next two weeks. So, we should see a run up in share price to that.

Trading update due next week followed later by Ex dividend date. I imagine that the trading update will be positive after the Haleon split, new products etc. Are we expecting any surprises about the dividend? The share price has been moving up in recent weeks...will it be buy on rumour and sell on fact?

Looking at this fall away in price. I am not sure if it is a buying opportunity or not. With supply issues and port strikes, plus the housing market facing a headwind, I am waiting to see. Any thoughts?

Not sure about that. I thought, if you purchased on the Ex div date, you purchased "excluding the dividend" but if you sold on the ex dividend date, you sold "with" the dividend?

GSK shares are ex dividend today. Tomorrow is the record date. If I bought yesterday before the ex date, can I sell today and still get dividend or do I have to wait for the record date? Thanks

Bought back in at £13.98 earlier today as they came within my range. I had sold these at £17.80 before split/consolidation. Unfortunately a few other shares also came in to my range price today....Taylor Wimpey, Whitbread.......Let's hope I didn't make a mistake and choose the wrong share. Probably drop by double the dividend amount tomorrow when it goes ex. Anyhow I'm in...

The only problem is that a lot of their products seem to be constantly "on offer".

It seems it is stuck in a trading range at the moment. Needs to break out.

What would today's share price equate to if there was never a consolidation?

The shares are being dumped today and all through yesterday after the management statement. They hit circa £3.19 and then turned around and it has been down all the way. I am tempted to get in at the current price. I am a previous old GSK holder for over 20 years, buying and selling.

I regularly see Lloyd Grossman on special offer in my local supermarket at €2 a jar. Down from €3.50. I would assume that there is a great profit in producing any type of sauce. I my local Aldi today I see you can purchase lots of their version of sauces at less than a €1 a jar. Does Premier foods make similar sauces for Aldi/Lidl/Tesco under another name? Premier Foods have a great stable of our old favourites......We would have them in kitchen press all the time. I cannot understand why this share is not doing better.....it must be a takeover target?

I would be interested to hear from regular watchers of this share the reasons they think it is not moving upwards?
