Firering Strategic Minerals: From explorer to producer. Watch the video here.
This naysayer will always be here regardless of share movement. Nice to see an end to the downward trend over the last week. I am back in profit for now.
The Dame needs to go and audition for panto season and give up the day job.
Nige and I were briefly getting along nicely. Then he has to come back with mean words and throwing MKS in my face......
Life is too short Nige for Internet forum grudges. Breathing yoga might help you.
JNWI. Yes I am a fool. I thought this would bounce back to £1 by the AGM. Not going to happen I fear now. The same old board will stay on and dig in and fail to see that ITVX will be as bad as Britbox. They believe their own lies
Sadly I think JNWI might be right. Forecasts are for recession by end of the year. Whole FTSE will probably see a retreat from current levels. If this was at £1.20 still investors could take the hit but Carolyn's incompetence has already wiped billions off here
No. Shell is the only thing I need to buy right now. Their results will be record breaking and the SP cannot stop climbing.
As my dear friend Nigeco is known to say "I am but the messenger".
Carolyn gone and price will go back to £1
Large institutional investors see no benefits to letting the cat out of the bag before AGM.
They are taking her down and have a preferred replacement. Goldfinger messages me in my sleep so I know these things!
Never thought it would get this low again. Damn Carolyn and her lack of direction. 28th cannot come too soon. Hopefully the institutional investors are as sick of her.
Yep negatives as well as positives for ITV in the cancellation of subscription. Hopefully it means some sports can come back on free to air and advertising revenue may pick up. On the downside it reflects lower household spending which will impact all ITV clients marketing spend.
The only good thing about the London semi final on Sunday was watching all those ads on ITV. Sky were spending a small fortune to advertise their broadband.
The City vs Liverpool game has made me want to buy a corporate box. Club Wembley is the best experience I have had watching football in this country. Liverpool to slaughter Chelsea in the final. The northern **** teams rule supreme for now.
Finally some decent world class sport on the main channel. The mighty Palace for the next two hours. Advertising revenue must be shooting up sky high
Carolyn Out!
Eagles
Cllwyd the yield looks good but what happens when the Dame takes on an extra billion in debt for a broadcaster that barely generates any profit? That billion goes from our pockets to line the pockets of already wealthy media and entertainment chums who already holiday in Tuscany and go to celeb parties on yachts.
Axe the Dame now before she gives the 1 billion away to her mates.
Much the same here PIG. 1million shares at an average of 76p. More hoping that this turns around by the AGM or by events at the AGM and I can take a quick profit. 90-100 would be nice but that needs Carolyn to resign or get the boot and that is a long shot right now.
If only Goldfinger was around to give us hope of another bid.
I barely watch ITV now. Saw the one drama about the south London rapist. Watched the one about Nilsen. Maybe caught one or two live football games on ITV. Am I missing much else? The big game this weekend on ITV I have a corporate box for at Wembley so will watch in person and on the screen whilst talking rubbish to clients.
Have been taking my time to go through all the Peaky Blinders series over the last 6months. Watched some documentaries. Motd every week. That is about it for my TV viewing. I catch C4 news if I can, then switch to news channels. Otherwise I am plugged in to radio 4. More hours on radio than TV.
Yes I got it wrong on M&S. I was very clear though back in January that all the retail shares were high stakes gambles.
What I have been urging people here to do for more than two years is to switch to oil and gas. Shell is up to a 2 year high today. Big dividends coming down there if you bought as I did back during the Covid lows at below £10.
Anyway beat me up over M&S to distract attention away from your own failings at buying ITV at well over value. I noticed Tesco announced they tripled profits today only for their shares to drop a good few percent. The UK markets are punishing even well performing businesses right now. My mistake at M&S taught me to stay out of ITV until after the last results. I benefited from one screw up to buy back in here cheaply (average of 76p).
Oh and I am on record here predicting the share price would fall back to 92p after results. Yes I failed to see quite how badly the markets would punish ITV for a terrible presentation.
Really weak analogy. The detractors here invent so much nonsense here to discredit me.
Let be clear. I urged caution when the price was high. Other less intelligent commentators promised £2. I have never said £2 is possible. When this share was at a covid low I urged people to move as I could see this would not return to the £1.50 pre covid price. Now at 78p I can see value here. Up to £1. At a stretch a return to £1.20
I am the alpha male. Please ignore the personal attacks on me by the lesser males who wish they were more like me.
£1 is possible this year with a change in management. Getting back to £1.20 is going to be harder as Carolyn's presentation harmed ITV permanently. It would almost have been better if she had kept her mouth shut and just let the figures speak.
She exposed that the culture at ITV is too set in the past. Still has not transitioned to the new reality which is the big streamers have moved in on their markets and they will never have the same viewing figures ever again. Studios and selling to US streamers is only viable way to keep revenues high.
I was going more by date. Was hoping for change here by the 28th April. Hopefully a resignation and 10% upturn.
29th April I want to be back in Shell for their 1st quarter results and any possible dividend rise there and hopefully 10% gain there.
The main issue here is the CEO and she is showing no intention of doing the honourable thing. Like Mesut Ozil she will fleece the team and its supporters to pay for her own lavish lifestyle when her performance is abysmal.
The way I remember it was Adam Crozier announced he was leaving. They had 6 months or so to find a new CEO. They took forever to find one. Crozier was out the door in the summer? They then announced the Dame and that she could not start for another 6 months and the SP just kept on falling.
Once she started we all gave her some time. Initially 6 months of nothing. Then a year. Then after 12 months her big initiative was Britbox which was her predecessors baby. That is now being wound up with ITVX. At about 18 months in it was obvious she had no ideas and no new direction. She was just happy collecting a salary, cashing in shares and living the CEO lifestyle.
Absolutely nothing in 5 years and we have paid out 10 million to her to crash the value of ITV. 1/3 of what it was on the day Crozier left.
You have given this BOD 5 years!!!!!
They have done nothing but trash the share price. How much more time do you give them? £2.30 down to 78p. The appointment of McCall is an utter disaster. Right now anyone but Carolyn would do a better job here. She is toxic to the image of ITV.
2 days before it goes ex dividend and you would be expecting a rise and yet 1% down so far today. Come Thursday this share will fall a good 3% to reflect value that has left the company.
So this could go back to 76p or even 75p by the end of the week. Any gains to holders in dividends will be wiped out in the overall value of shares falling.
The CEO is failing us here. Everyone has lost confidence in her. CAROLYN OUT
