Agree with you LoveU , we should become more insular & look after ourselves ; grow our own food & put two fingers up to them . Worked in 1415 , can work again . Four countries are working on battery technology and the UK are one of the countries involved .
We should cancel HS2 whatever the cost in billions and invest the remaining billions on building our own electric vehicles for internal use .
I am an investor in HUR and other O&G companies as I believe that these commodities will be used for the immediate future .
Not convinced on the rhetoric on climate change (used to be global warning) as vested interests like Al Gore , Sir John Houghton , Sir Ed Davey etc. . Two of them are failed politicians and the other was an expert on climate , who could not predict our weather accurately . There was another fellow on the IPCC who was an Indian railway engineer !
As for Ed Milliband and his Climate Change Act 2005 , only 5 or 6 MP's voted against this and everbodys fuel bill gets an extra amount placed on it . Was this not a hidden tax ?.

There are battery people from four countries currently working on improved battery technology in the UK ; yes we are one of the four .
We should build our own electric vehicle from the money saved from the cancellation of HS2 . Cost a few billions to get out of it but would be worth it imho .
I do have some Hurricane Energy shares plus other shares in different oil companies as I think there will be a need for oil for some time to come .
