I think there has been a bit of confusion about dividends (more so than was justified by the cut alone), my notes are as follows: Final = 1.5p, ex div 06/07/18, div 04/08/18 Interim = 1.0p, ex div 23/11/18, div 18/12/18 ...and basically 2.5p per annum until further notice
The way the catastrophic demise of CVR was explained to me was that they had 30 day's credit terms with their customers whilst receiving 90 days credit terms from their own suppliers (probably manufacturers). All fine and dandy until the accounting irregularities were announced, the manufacturers responded by locking down on their credit terms. The situation became worse when the "overlooked" tax bill was announced. ...followed by one massive blow up. A bit like a machine when the lubrication runs out, now needs someone with some cash to oil up and restart.
