The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
I am not betting on 70-80m being spent on water injection will create any value and this is simply an experiment. What is the NPV of this investment case, looks negative to me. The only hope I can see here is a sale of the company but that will only happen is there is value in Lincoln and Warwick and Halifax can be de-risked.
As a LTH and not a trader, at this price it is not worth taking the loss but so average down in my SIPP and wait for 5 years. My guess is if HUR is still around it may be worth the wait.
I am well peed being mislead, this is as bad as SOU.
HL quoting 11.50 for sells and 11.499 for buys
my guess is more work with Esri.
I have no doubt Esri will buy out MNO at some point.
My opinion of course.
The webcast is at 12:30 when America wakes up. Just a few points to note:
1. US vaccine candidates like that from Moderna, stock up 4000%
2. USA buys shed loads of any treatment that comes to market
IMO there is much more upside to come IF the results of ongoing trials are also positive.
MarcE,
that trade went through Tuesday I believe. there was a discussion thread regarding this at the time.
I was expecting a holding notification for such a large movement.
any reason why this is not the case?
not sure why the rise
just a few trades and the price is up 15%
we do expect RNS probably on the Japan trials
As the article reads, '....it is known that the JV was looking at other drill options...'
Higgs are selling?
do we get a notification if they reduce their holdings?
well that would be interesting
one4me:
I agree, there seems to be not much research going on here.
Personally, I am not seeing the revenue generation path to justify the valuation but that is the usual story with tech companies.
My investment is based purely on (1)a hunch (2)the story of the Higgs and their £1m investment and (3) the reputation of Bodthe
I suspect the Higgs are back in aiming to get to that 10% shareholding.
SailP,
very technical post which I don't understand as I'm not an Oilie. Nevertheless in response to this line; '..... if the perched water pockets showed signs of emptying some time pretty soon'
i do recall DrT saying at the CMD that this should happen over time.
Looking forward to the technical review outcome to hear more on this.Just seems that this whole perched water issue is like a stopper on the share price propulsion.
A simple DCF calc values HUR on Lancaster EPS alone at £271m or 13.7p/sh
Assumptions:
* P/bbl = $35
* revenue p/bbl = $17
* 15kbopd
*discount rate 10% * exchange rate $/£ 1.25 * time horizon 5 years
not necessarily all out.
just that they don't now have a notifiable interest (>=3% i believe)
Hurricane Energy plc announces that on 7 July 2020 it received notification that Pelham Capital Ltd. no longer has a notifiable interest in the issued share capital of the Company.
Wilbs2,
been researching quite a bit as well.
one poster pointed me towards blockchain and I came across the same company Higgs Block Singaporean company with an interest here in UK.
It is IMO that the Higgs investment is either a first step to a T/O or Higgs Block is working with CTEA on a big commercial contract.
DYOR and lets do some sensible posting on this BB.
