The next 6 months are crucial. Nanoco could run out of cash and disappear. It could land a contract or two to prove it can provide the quantum material that makes silicon chips more efficient and effective for sensors as well as displays and so enhance the digital age. A court judgement from East Texas is likely. As is an appeal by Samsung. The experience has taken far longer than many of us on the board would have expected. But the returns from here have never looked so promising. The newcomers are most welcome. Your timing may be very good. Though nothing here is certain.
One name rarely mentioned here is Nigel Picketts. But he is, I believe, one of the original founders and the brains behind the IT. No doubt with input from others. And, unlike the previous CEO, I don't recall him selling a share. So my thanks to Nigel Picketts. Whatever the outcome. Just the sort of innovation we need. Particularly if successful.

Edison increased their forecast for Nanoco revenue in FY 2022 from £2m to £2.2m. But moving the staff from Manchester to Runcorn does show confidence a production order will follow. So I share your view the prospects are good for production order. As well as for the court case.

If Samsung bought Nanoco I would anticipate key staff at Nanoco leaving the company. Which is why I doubt it will happen.

A very good day for Nanoco. The extra £0.1m or more revenue is most welcome. The decision to move work to Runcorn demonstrates confidence the production line will be coming into use. And Nanocos Patent Office case appears strong. Winning either a decent production contract or the case against Samsung will double the share price. Winning both should quadruple it and the future woukd look rosy. Few will be following the details of either. All the better for those of us who still are: a very patient few.

You can still pick up shares for under 19p: the purchases around 52,000 are mine. If you were serious about your forecast of 24p by close today opportunity knocks. I suspect we will have to wait for more substantial orders, or an unexpected settlement, before the price rises 25 per cent.

The latest note from Edison projected revenue in FY2022 of £2.0m. Today's announcement should increase that to £2.1 or £2.2m.
The revenue is expected in Q3 of FY22, so by the end of April. A small step in the right direction. I suspect some of these infra red sensors will end in Driver Monitoring Systems, mandated by the EU legislation in new cars from next year, and by US legislation a couple of years later, but as far off the radar of investors as Nanoco.

The AFP site says there is a report on those lines but it is not confirmed. It is not what President Zelenskyy told the House of Commons a few hours ago. Its up to the Ukrainians what they do. As long as management are delivering on their strategy, the regulatory imperatives to buy DMS in the near future remain in place and there are no signs a competitor has a superior product the case for buying and holding SEE remains strong. Some shareholders may have to sell for the cash and in times of uncertainty there are few new buyers. So the market makers reduce the prices they quote to discourage further sales. If you have to sell, bad luck. Otherwise it would appear unwise to do so when there are few buyers around. As future cash flows become clearer the share price is likely, in my view, to recover then appreciate.

The reason for notification was disposal of voting rights, not disposal of financial instruments. RG held 30.5m shares before and after the event requiring notification. So I share Hawi and Nanonano' s understanding. Its only 7 months since RG provided a large loan to Nanoco which he has a substantial interest in having repaid.

SEE is my top bet. And I don't see any serious argument against its long term prospects. Whether it takes 1 year or 3 years to produce serious returns from current levels depends on how others perceive it. None of us know that, so my planning is in the three year camp. Happy to be proved over cautious.
There is also a change from ICE to electric cars taking place over the next three years. BYD and NIO likely, in my view, to be more relevant than Ford and GM. But I rarely see them mentioned on this board.

Associated Press are reporting a charge of vehicular manslaughter has been brought against a man whose Tesla killed someone while driving on automated pilot. This appears to be the first such case. It may help raise public awareness of the need for good DMS to accompany moves to partial automated driving.

By 2025 I expect electric cars to account for 50 per cent of sales; for people to spend as much, over the lifetime of the car, on the electronics as on the rest of the vehicle, for SEE to be part of the electronics of most cars being sold, making a healthy profit with growing annual recurring revenues. Once the cash is flowing in and the prospects are clear to most investors a valuation of £10 billion, or £2 a share in 2025 is my bet. But I don't forsee market consensus on this outlook for a year or two.

Different time frames at play here. SEE are rightly trying to capture as much of the auto market as they can. Many posters here want them to laud their successes to the market. The two are not compatible. I support SEEs approach and have welcomed the opportunity to increase my holding at knock down prices. I appreciate why those who bought in at 2p and 3p do not see the need to top up at 10p. But when even all but the most pessimistic of us forsee 15p by the end of the year, a sceptical broker ventures 19.5p and most forsee 20p or more, the opportunity to buy at 11 p seems like an opportunity ro welcome.
On the balance side, the mcap is already £440m or so and there are AIM companies with good prospects valued at a fraction of that. I am now largely invested in SEE. Will stand back and see where we are in 12 months. Cannot envisage having anything to add than cheering on the excellent management team lead by a Chair with 3m shares. Good on her.

Awareness of Driver Monitoring Systems remains very low: it is not even mentioned in the WHO/UN Decade of Action for Road Safety 2021-30. Raising awareness will take time because of (i) the attention on autonomous driving assistance schemes (ii) being sold as part of a larger package by Qualcomm and others (iii) once awareness does increase there will be concerns about spy in the cab/car to address.
The case for DMS is overwhelming and I have no doubt some companies, including SEE, will do very well. But my guess is the market will wait to see visibility on earnings before valuing it as virtually all contributors here do. And we can expect forecasts in 12 months and delivery of positive earnings a year or two later. Patience will be required for full value to be recognised. With action raising awareness of DMS even more worthwhile than blockbuster RNS read by the few not the many. Meanwhile the share price is likely to creep up providing a better return than average. So I have a large quantity for the long term. And a few to profit from in the meantime.

I am convinced by the case for SEE. But keep an eye open for flaws in the case for it as I build a larger position in it. I have previously raised my concern about Chinese EV manufacturers, and been largely reassured by the helpful responses. My second concern is how to sell the software to drivers. A substantial proportion of people seem unconvinced by the proven benefits of being vaccinated against Covid. Is that type of person going to welcome DMS in their car. A sane friend has recently sold his new car because it kept beeping at him. How are people going to react when their car won't move because they have had a couple of drinks?

I listened to the AGM which stuck to the formalities. There were a few questions from the floor which Brian Tenner responded to impressively. Nothing new emerged. He confirmed the US and European partners were very big names who imposed anonymity contractually with big fines for any breach. He suggested 2022 would be crucial with decisions from the court case and main contract work likely in the second half of the year. He said the company had 550 payents and made the point they were worthless if not enforced. He said Samsung were 90 per cent of the CFQD market and suggested the current work being developed with 5 or 6 customers was on sensors.

I think Seeing Machines is grossly undervalued because the company clearly disappointed a few years ago (before I took an interest); most people wrongly focus on autonomous driving rather than DMS and the future revenue stream has been opaque, partly through the nature of the business. The future revenue stream will clarify over the next 12 to 24 months. In the short term I expect banks that participated in the recent raise will be content to sell at a small profit and move on, I expect the new Cenkos target to be achieved in 12 months with comparable increases in subsequent years. Until a bid comes in. At which point, provided we are in a decent proportion of cars ( including those made in China) good relations with partners are maintained, new ones built and technical challenges overcome, the more ambitious prices mooted on here may be approached.
