http://www.faroe-petroleum.com/get.file?ID=10531 Excellent. Right on the kisser. Wish they had better luck with the drillbit, but then this wouldn't be 116p now, peeps. Be assured our 'big friends' are loading up in 'stealth mode'. WoS is all but over, first steps Iceland and Greenland (Chinese love it!) and then ofcourse the portfolio. Just have a look at the UK one by itself. If they don't fastrack some mature ones themselves somebody is going to hit the ground running with a little injection. Production forecast? Great time for the acquisition of producing assets so, if they catch some, an 'outperform' almost a given. Still best E&P on AIM in my opinion. GL here.
48 days - 30 left for Darwin (Barents Sea) operations. Imo, if succes soon after FPM buys 'something' or receives a nice bid. Anyway, cheap! GL here.
Seen the presentation with the infrastructure nearby and BP plans for that 'frontier' area that is supposed to become a big part of Britain oil future? They've just declared a discovery, peeps....
... and North Uist (WoS), spudded on March 25, could see its 1 YEAR anniversary. Meanwhile broker notes since the analyst site visit (mostly upgrades) keep coming in. Latest: "Equities researchers at Credit Suisse boosted their target price on shares of Faroe Petroleum Plc (LON: FPM) from $3.14 (210 GBX) to $3.43 (230 GBX) in a report issued on Friday. The firm currently has an “outperform” rating on the stock." http://www.mideasttime.com/faroe-petroleum-plc-pt-raised-to-3-43-fpm/3610/ Darwin (Barents Sea, 1Bbbls) spudded already, Blackrock over 13% and looking at the trading ii's keep adding. ... and, to top it up, just saw a gap close with a 100 trade. Hm, difficult. ;-)
What's going on with the spread here? Very unwelcoming, imo. Anybody can give a valuation/how much of the sp is underpinned? Thx

30-40 days to 3700m (8.5 section with coretaking) --> website text pl475? Doesn't mention Tilje, but planned to go to 4084 TVD, then back up and install whipstock at 2674m MDRT at about the 90th day. and back down to 4224m TVD (125 days to permanent plugging, total length Rodriguez about 127 days from spud.) Half news, not TD'd?
North Uist needs outof the way, but 'problems' already priced in and the 6% is upside now, and clear sailing towards the target prices almost double todays sp. Looks ready for a good leg up regardless. GLA
http://www.heraldscotland.com/business/company-news/faroe-wins-licences-to-boost-norway-presence.19937309 dd17jan2013 Interview with CEO Graham Stewart "(...) Aberdeen-based Faroe was a big beneficiary of the latest licensing round in Norway in which it was awarded eight licences. The awards increase the size of its Norwegian portfolio by a third. Chief executive Graham Stewart said the new licences significantly enhance Faroe's strategic position in Norway, which is attracting increased attention from the industry's big guns. He said: "These licences contain a wide range of play types and risk profiles, which increase our Norwegian acreage position to 32 licences across the key exploration areas, giving us the largest licence position of any UK independent operating in Norway." Faroe will work with giants including Statoil, Total and Centrica on some of the new licences. Edinburgh-based Cairn Energy has a stake in one. "Both the government and the majors clearly view FPM (Faroe Petroleum) as a credible partner and operator of offshore Norwegian assets," analysts at Jefferies International told clients. (...) In September, he told The Herald that Faroe was keen to buy producing assets in the UK North Sea. Faroe said it expects to drill five exploration wells in the near term, all in Norway. (...)"

This notwithstanding, last year has laid a significant amount of groundwork for what should be an active 2013. The cash flow from production should support what Faroe is all about, exploration. With 6 wells planned for 2013 and new exploration acreage to add to its hopper, the year has all the ingredients necessary for a good year indeed. Now all that is required is a bit of success with the drill bit. " Comment from RNS today: (incl. drill): "Graham Stewart, Chief Executive of Faroe Petroleum plc, commented: "Faroe Petroleum is delighted to have been awarded eight prospective exploration licences in the 2012 Norwegian APA licensing round announced yesterday, three of which will be operated by Faroe, which significantly enhances our strategic position in the country. These licences contain a wide range of play types and risk profiles, which increase our Norwegian acreage position to 32 licences across the key exploration areas, giving us the largest licence position of any UK independent operating in Norway. "Operations on the west of Shetlands North Uist exploration wells continue and we will provide further updates on progress over the coming period. We look forward to kicking off our active 2013 exploration drilling programme which includes several high impact exploration wells including Darwin (Barents Sea), Novus (Norwegian Sea) and two Butch wells (Norwegian North Sea)." http://europeaninvestor.com/SiteFiles/company/company.asp?GUID=5D9E4BE1DB6CC1418D2F1D048BEE1B02&PressID=1470845&Customer=1&CompanyCode=UK-FPM&MenuItem=91&wtLang=English
At this price... It will not go unrecognized. In aftermath director buys, formality cleared, funding sorted, on paper strong portfolio, production... looking healthy and if need be in a strong position ;-)
Somebody posted a newsarticle here a month, perhaps two ago that contained a quote from a Namibian local broker or businessman that quoted him saying something like this: A bid from the local Chinese ... is a good way for shareholders to ... get out/escape/... something like that, but he didn't seem to think to much of it from shareholder perspective. No company names were mentioned. Was that a 2012 contemporary article or older? If 2012 contemporary .... After that being posted here the Galp deal came but I doubt they went 'on the cheap' (and wouldn't know if I saw the numbers) as probably no/not much work done on the asset. So if we have a 'hostile' party 'churning' in... Chineze? And how could he know that? Proved 'concept'/'local manners'/'that's the way it is going to be'? (I remember wondering about the 'boldness' of his statement but saw no clues for how or why he stated that so self-assured and out of the blue as imo it was an answer bigger than the question and remember thinking: 'show of'.) Not important, just plaguering me. Would like to see that again, date/title would be nice. Thx.
I watched this. Walked down, sneaking more like, in the quiet days on despicable volume. Why did anyone want that low in the books? (Thought it was a leak first, sixth sidetrack oops, unlikely now though. ) If it was about the stoplosses a big delayed trade will pop up sometime, right? GLA here. Not holding, still my favourite.
Any idea of South Africa AFTER the elections?
Perhaps the 'drop' equals the discount cashed in by an early ii-mover? Very little shares in free float as all ii's standing by, pocketsfull with shares they got a discount on. An attractive newsflow about to break but with the obvious risks. Maybe not enough buying pressure from pi's yet? Anyway, most graphs of newly quoted companies on AIM share a few characteristics and that maybe just one of them. GL
