It registered with me alright. Not mine though :-) There have been more, and bigger, in the past weeks.
... perate? Go short Bowleven. Beware, not for everyone. Only if you think you can take up the 'finest' of the City sc*m. GL

Good read, activity overview NS/WoS http://www.offshore-mag.com/articles/print/volume-73/issue-5/international-report/exploration-and-development-resurgent-throughout-main-nw-europe-.html "Britain's dwindling reserves of offshore gas have been further drained by an unusually prolonged winter. But BP provided a gleam of light last month with its North Uist gas/condensate discovery west of Shetland. According to partner Faroe Petroleum this is in a previously unexplored area, although the location is not far from Chevron's undeveloped Rosebank oil and gas field. Chevron expects to take a final decision on Rosebank in late 2013. If it goes ahead, it would be Britain's deepest water field development to date at 1,100 m (3,609 ft). WorleyParsons and INTECSEA have been working on studies for a ship-shaped FPSO to handle producing up to 75,000 b/d of oil and 100 MMcf/d of gas. Artist's impression of the new Montrose BLP platform in the UK central North Sea (copyright Talisman). Analysts BritBoss report that the processed gas would head through a new 130-km (81-mi) subsea pipeline to Sullom Voe, Shetland, where it would connect directly to the new Shetland Islands Regional Gas Export line to eastern Scotland. Total has commissioned this system to transfer gas that will flow from its Laggan/Tormore fields west of Shetland, due onstream next year. Rosebank's economics should benefit from the UK government's new allowance for fields in water depths exceeding 1,000 m (3,281 ft). Other new initiatives over the past year include tax breaks on heavy oil field developments, which prompted Statoil and its partners to launch the giant Mariner project in the northern UK North Sea in December, and further assistance for mature field projects. That one lit the fuse for Talisman/Sinopec's Montrose area redevelopment in the central North Sea, involving construction of a new processing/production platform (Montrose BLP) linked to the existing Montrose A platform, and handling output from the Cayley and Shaw fields. The improved climate for investors on the UK continental shelf has also had a positive impact on exploration drilling. Activity has recovered strongly after last year's slump, although, aside from North Uist, results to date are modest. (...) = more, non-FPM
Wow. Just tried Google Earth Seafloor updates. Those red structures? Cables? What is that between Scotlnd and Norway? Have they landed :-)

hm... not going lower? they got a 100k today The greed is strong here. And there must be a (short term) reason for that as looking at the watchlist BLVN, GKP, AEX, CAZA, GBP, PPC (all close to news) are red, though the rest up with the market. Time to cup-and-handle move in?
More interest, RWE building a position/Stena Carron booked, Hurrican drilling this summer. http://www.youroilandgasnews.com/rwe+dea+completed+farm-in+to+west+of+shetland+licences_89528.html http://www.offshore.no/international/article/21583_Shetland_Handcross_move_by_RWE_Dea_ [map] http://www.offshore.no/international/article/21585_Take_off_for_Lancaster_drilling
They are loosing shares here. Tick down coming to make up for it?
But two of the three scheduled wars are going to boost the crude prizes. Bit worried about those nuked up Russian bombers doing a dry-run over Stockholm...??
115p+. Buy vs Sells means very little. If anything it is how those that sold you L2 use it against you to influence you judgement. Or did you think they would sell you stuff that allows you to beat them?
There was that peculiar little spike yesterday that sometimes signals a RNS has been logged. It was followed by 2 x 200k trades which I believe to be two filled 'low ball'-orders. This was taken down on low volume and imo there was very little or nothing priced in that those RNS's could have wiped out. ii's aren't selling here but accumulating and there aren't many shares around. No buyers either which may create a good opportunity if they take it down further. So, this is a, hopefully short, wait for a good entry and, imo, a bid. No bid, then the 'held back' good news. GL
And what about the RNS tomorrow/this week?
How about tomorrow? You sure you've been watching this? And who is we? All 'good' shares were taken down the past days/weeks... I look at it as letting some ??? in to profit from the correction on the correction. But this one is a special case, imo. Anyway, if you really expect only 140 by end of summer... why hold here?
Last minutes?
No seller, someone wants in very low and acting like they know they have all the time they need for that. Two drills were running. Then a analyst site visit staged with subsequent news releases/broker views ("buy"). Then a duster (Darwin), more like a first peek in virgin territory, and (preliminary) results on a prospect (North Uist = discovery) that took more than a year and still ain't over... but these seem to have enough impact to take the company back to a summer 2010 sp like nothing ever happened since. So... Are they looking for a target where they'll sweat the newly sucked in investors out? Or is one of the many possible surprises imminent and are they enticing sells and/or after stoplosses? hm...
Intrigueing... like: Hold on to your socks ;-) From: Results of North Uist frontier exploration well, RNS Number : 6380B, Faroe Petroleum PLC, 05 April 2013 Results (...) pleased to announce (...) 213/25c-1V exploration wel (...) SEVERAL reservoir objectives, THE most significant of which WAS the North Uist prospect. (...) The well reached a total vertical depth (...) in the target section. An extensive data set has been collected, including wire-line logs, pressure data and side-wall cores. A FULL FORMATION and volume evaluation is underway. PRELIMINARY results indicate varying reservoir quality and the commercial potential has YET TO BE evaluated. The shallower Cardhu prospect encountered traces of hydrocarbons. This deep water frontier exploration well (Blocks 213/20b, 214/16b, 213/25c) is located near to Chevron's Rosebank oil discovery, also on the Corona Ridge, west of the Shetland Islands.(...) the Stena Carron drill-ship. The well will now be plugged and abandoned, as PLANNED. Graham Stewart, Chief Executive of Faroe Petroleum, commented: "After a long period of drilling activity on this wild-cat exploration well, we are pleased to have MADE A DISCOVERY in the North Uist exploration well, although we had however hoped for better quality reservoir. The result proves ANOTHER WORKING HYDROCARBON SYSTEM in the frontier west of Shetlands which is GOOD NEWS FOR FURTHER PROSPECTIVITY in these UK waters. The partnership will now undertake extensive analysis of the considerable volumes of data and samples COLLECTED from the well operations before deciding on THE NEXT STEPS." Well, well, well,... http://www.sailwx.info/shiptrack/shipposition.phtml?call=2BKQ8 http://www.marinetraffic.com/ais/nl/default.aspx?oldmmsi=235066948&zoom=10&olddate=lastknown North Uist WAS... and they briefed on THAT ONE target (and the Cardhu prospect) So, it seems they've already made some decisions on the next steps and are acting on them as still busy and on 500,000/day... Almost three weeks to plug and abandon? New targets being .... ??? What made them release the RNS titled: "Results of the North Uist frontier exploration well, west of Shetland" and then only referring to the prelimenary results on the North Uist prospect and Cardhu? The sp is 'unconspiciously' being worked down (high 140's to low 110's) on a very low volume... Bid around the corner, imo. GL here
