immediately caught my attention here is the cash in bank being worth c2p and if that's the floor off not great results then buying at mid 2s as I did, heavily, a week or so ago looked well worth the punt.
It may be the ultimate binary bet to the upside with relatively little downside which is why I went in so heavily.
What also occurred to me is the commercialisation opportunity re stroke victims.
No doubt, whoever "cures cancer" will be minted but an equal, if not greater, commercial argument could be made for "regenerative" treatments for illnesses that cause people to be a long-term burden on state resources given the nature of the crippling but not killing effect of those types of disease.
That's a hard-nosed perspective to take I know but the fact of the matter is that if you die you stop costing the tax payer but if you're alive but crippled then you're a potentially heavy burden instead and there's an argument there to suggest that revenues from this type of treatment could be even greater than something that "merely" stops people from dying ...
