Large advertised spreads are only ever there for one reason - to put PIs off from buying.
It's currently/was 1.93/2.09 - still a rip-off (but hey it's the LSE) >10% spread but if you're buying into companies and are put off by things like MM games then you're never going to do well.
The ask on the book is way up there to stop limit order buys from firing - they've been selling at 2.09 for ages - the advertised ask should be 2.10p but ................
Deal making news flow has started at MTR - I suspect we may get something here too presently but regardless, trading at sub 2p is very attractive to my TA eye and that rising weekly MA50 is approaching tuppence now so timing-wise, a proper move back up could be imminent imo.
