"Previous target selection was based primarily on aeromagnetic data. However many kimberlites have very subtle magnetic signatures - an example would be the rich, 44 hectare Jwaneng pipe in Botswana. It is very likely that such targets could have been overlooked, particularly in areas of high magnetic noise. This would particularly apply to an extensive portion of the Ngami property that is intersected by the dolerite dyke swarm."
