How much cash do they currently have?

Is there anything relevant/new in the speech - mentions speeding up unsafe cladding but I'm not close enough to the topic to understand if that changes anything for LST.

Gordom - regarding tender offer - let's reconvene when the deal is done and see if it might be possible

Aquis requires them within 3 months of the end of the period (31 October) - they came out Jan 31st last year

They can't pay a dividend as they don't have distributable reserves. They should do a tender offer - say 90% of the proceeds net of tax - that way they is certainty on timing and quantum of return, and the opportunity for investors that support the long term story to remian involved, if they choose. Once there is certainty on the deal going through private investors should get organised and demand this.

Waveygravey538 - I still can't find the filing on the SEC website - latest release from company says proxy hasn't been released. Google AI mode says the vote is on the 20th but the source link is back to a post in this chat room (a circular reference). Have you actually seen anything official from the company? I'm sure it will be out soon, with the vote to follow shortly after (probably with a prerequisite number of days between the announcement and the meeting).

Gordon, great effort coordinating the tally of votes.

It seems like there might be interest in pushing for more transparency from the company around the allocation of the proceeds between return of capital and onoging projects in CCS/India. Usually 5% of the share register is enough to call a general meeting. I wouldn't propose going that far but establishing a constructive dialogue with the board, with a mandate from 5-10% of the shareholders, to agree the vast majority of the proceeds are returned, with enough working capital to support the recovery of the withholding tax (3 years) and a to maintin the option on the CCS over that period.

Why would they raise it all now, they have until May 2026 to come up with the funds?

If the value of the WeShop shares remains anything like the current level there would be counterparties willing to bridge May to November - either the existing bond holder or new ones. By that time a sophisticated counterparty would be even able to hedge by shorting shares in WeShop to mitigate any risk.

Today's message - the lockup and DCB were known about. The new information, for me at least, was the strong indication (commitment?) to an in specie transfer or sale & cash distribution post lock up ending. Doesn't feel like the directors are going to drag this out for years whilst clipping a salary and diverting funds to pet projects.

Regarding the FAQs - Whilst I would have hoped for a firmer commitment on how much is going to be returned to shareholders the fact that they have shared a response suggests they are sensing things are not currently going their way. I don't suspect the response will have changed many people's minds.

Timing wise, you can see from the announcements how long it took GoI to approve the previous involvement (5 months I think). I'm not sure if approval for increasing their holding (and sending Synergia packing) would take more or less time. Meanwhile, if the tax treatment is going to be confirmed as soon as next month then visibility on how significant the "significant proportion" is shouldn't be far behind.

Why have they given no indication of how much they intend to return? Could they have made clear it's 25%, or even 50%, of the funds that are received so that at least investors have an understanding of how much will come back, and how much will be retained for the CCS projects? As it is we don't find out until we hold illiquid shares whether they are going to to the right thing and return a multiple of the market cap and retain something to support the realisation of value from their CCS project.

Given the focus on building a transparent market for private investors and supporting capital raising for businesses that are ready to scale is it worth bringing this to the attention of Marcus Stuttard, the Head of AIM at the London Stock Exchange. They can put pressure on the Nomad and ought to have some interest in the market looking less like the wild west. Email format at LSE is typically first initial surname at lseg com.

Gemrusty - have you seen anywhere that will allow shorting of WeShop? IG has it as unborrowable. I don't think this is unusual with a new IPO.

What do you think they might announce? Theregistration filing is very clear. All preIPO shareholders are locked up for 12 months unless the board give them permission to sell.

Note that 2.9m (TEK owned shares)/4.9m (Post IPO) shares is 60% not 40%

I don't see why a day/week/month/year/decade from now the market valuation of TEK's holding would be anything other than simply be the number of shares multiplied by the share price. Their percentage holding could be significantly different, if they have sold down, but the calculation remains the same.

If TEK own 2.9m shares (page 95 of the latest S1) at $8.8 would the valuation of the holding not simply be $25.5m (2.9 multiplied by 8.8)?
