Just a quick question if anyone can possibly help. 12 months ago I signed up to a Level 2 account with ADVFN. Basically just to get the live prices. The SP info was okay but the Forum chat was poor and often abusive. I decided not to renew this year. I decided it was overpriced and not worth the 200 and something quid I had paid.
However perhaps in the small print somewhere it says you have a rolling contract unless you cancel by letter. Emails and phone calls are not excepted. On checking my Bank account today I was shocked to find they have taken out 718 GBP. No email, no notification, no nothing. How they can legally do this is beyond me. I have just spoken to the Fraud Team at HSBC who are going to look at it.
Does anyone have a similar experience? Or can offer any input. Anyway this information maybe useful to anyone thinking of using their service.
Regards
Bobby
ps Just to add to the above: I did in-fact cancel by letter but they of course say they never received the letter.
In all big decisions it's important to consider the 'when'. The time of day that you make your decision. Perhaps its to divorce the wife or maybe its to buy BMN Shares! At different times of day the Brain functions at different levels. Generally late morning provides you with your highest cognitive acuity while mid afternoon will be lowest.
Regarding investing I would definitely avoid buying/selling in the first hour of trading. The MM's can be sitting on Orders and will move accordingly to benefit themselves.
Just my view DYOR.

This just Goat Show on AIM just shows you why so many Investors fail. They chase short term gains and then bail when they show some paper loses, failing to appreciate that the fundamentals have in-fact got even better! I guess thats why most diets fail. Few people can see their future selfs. Not willing to suck up some short term pain for a better healthier/richer future.
Hell we had 3 Chocolate Factories and just brought a fourth and the price has hardly moved. Sure the price of Chocolate might have fallen but my friends next month it might be a BMN Easter with some published numbers for 2018.

YinYang you Winner. If you want to short a Company with such tremendous fundamentals then you taking an enormous risk obviously. You could try Horse Racing Mate. Get yourself off to Kempton Park and stop wasting your time writing rubbish.

Let’s hope the voting goes smoothly today...
A significant win nationwide could hand Mr. Ramaphosa a popular mandate in his anti-corruption drive. But a dip below the symbolically important threshold of 60 percent — which the A.N.C. has never dropped beneath — could embolden his rivals within his party, many of whom have close ties to Mr. Zuma.

The Day Trader sat in the MK McDonalds just off the M1. Light drizzle fell outside as he gulped down his last mouthful of his Bic Mac. He reached into his pocket and jingled the remaining coins. He wasn’t sure he had enough for the Bus fare back to the Shelter. His wife had thrown him out the previous night when she learned of his huge loss trying to short Bushveld Minerals. How was he to know that the company would release the 2018 results so early. Within 2 days the Share Price had smashed though 1 pound and continued to gallop upwards. His position had been called in and now he was screwed. Not even a pot to piss in. He mused that he should had stayed with the Horses.
A Limousine pulled up outside at the lights. The windows were down, and some Fat Cats looked like they were partying inside. Pri£ks he thought. As the vehicle pulled off noticed a sign hanging from the back; “BUSHY £1 Party”.
Double Trouble I suspect Mr Eagle.
The art of good conversation is the ability to listen.
The art of good investing is the ability to read. It’s a trait all successful people have in common.
So please stop writing such dribble. Trying reading. I would suggest the; https://www.thebushveldperspective.com/
It may be helpful to keep a Dictionary close by for the really big words.

Stop looking at the SP every 5 mins. Hold your Bushy shares for the next few years and you will rolling in beautiful Lolly. All fundamentals are strong and remain unchanged. This BS of Shorters and Day Traders trying to make fast money will of course fail. They are normally Gamblers who in the end lose. They lack the discipline and intelectual capacity to invest in a solid company and hold long.

Gentlemen and Ladies - do the Maths. If you looked at the buys vs sells today compared to the total share issue for Bushveld this % drop is a complete joke. Some MM Clown has cleared out his short position no doubt at 28p. Clearly the perceived value of this Company is not reflected in the daily trades. The AIM is not fit for purpose. Hold and hold long.
Keep calm Cindercone Man - s##t happens in business. The BOD will deal with whatever the reason for the delay in the Divi RNS. Sit back and relax. Bushveld are in the process of solving one on the major issues that has held Africa back for decades - the availability of energy. It is really a revolutionary company - turning rock in energy. It’s beautiful.
