{from linked article in my previous message}
"Guben, Germany: Located near the Polish border, Rock Tech's converter will process lithium raw materials into battery-grade lithium hydroxide.
Konin, Poland: Approximately 230 km east of Guben, Ronbay's facility will transform lithium hydroxide and other materials into high-performance cathode materials. "
Note: the Chinese are in business with Ronbay - an easy backdoor prediction made years ago !!
Suppose it would be logical to suggest that Cinovec will provide the 'PROCESSED' Carbonate [or Hydroxide] from the Prunéřov site for further 'REFINING' .
https://rocktechlithium.com/de/projects/ - reads (extract below):-
"Our German-based lithium hydroxide converters has been recognized as a
‚Strategic Project‘ under European Critical Raw Materials Act (CRMA)
which will meet the highest EU standards in terms of environmental footprint, energy efficiency and supply chain transparency.
We will also source the raw material exclusively from sustainable mines,
where we can guarantee compliance with these standards from the outset."
(RockTech Lithium is an American company that has proposed converter based in Guben, Germany at MoU status with Ronbay)
There IS only one 'sustainable mine' of any consequence in Europe .... Cinovec. Linked article implies that Li battery material will be sourced in EU.
But our timelines need to be addressed with increased urgency to get into production before 2030 / 31
