I agree US Law will prevail. I’m not a lawyer but have spent many an hour and £’s in courts and the judges do listen to all arguments and comment on those arguments and can add fuel to those arguments but when it comes to decisions if it’s black & white which this is - then law and precedent prevail! I have a feeling today is going to be a lot more interesting…

Brigra … I believe it will hit the £30 level 2025 but as Mr Bogart said himself in the last presentation when asked why ‘if the investment case is so strong why is the SP not reflecting this view” he replied along the lines of “I guess they are waiting to see the cash”…

All current investors will hopefully be rewarded for understating & believing in the business before the cash arrived but hopefully it will start to arrive 13th September or early January 24…

PS - I do not own any shares in LIT nor do plan too in the short term.

LIT Finance up 10% today. They do seem to update the market regularly when they have a successful resolution of a case without giving any details. As I have suggested here before Burford would benefit from a similar approach. Anyhow I continue to add at these levels.

The next 8 weeks are going to be exciting me thinks with the case giving an indication on the settlement valu and hopefully a ruling by Mrs Preska and the Q2 numbers early September.

The settlement amount, the collection of said settlement amount and what does this mean for the SP going forward is a maze of unknown unknowns but if you believe that Burford are experts in there field and they are right 92% of the time as it would appear the SEC agrees with then back your hunch..

Can’t see this argument holding much water with the court..

If the court rules for plaintiffs , on all points, plaintiffs estimate, they will obtain approximately $16 billion, an amount significantly in excess of YPF’s market cap, for their former interest in approximately 28% of YPF shares. The Court should not increase plaintiffs windfall by warning and billions more in prejudgement interest, especially when the Argentina people are suffering from serious economic challenges.
