Feeling rather positive about PRD, the prospect of some activity and a rising SP after a long period of consolidation.

Short-term, the downside risk looks minimal, placing done, and news due - which one might reasonably expect to lift the SP higher.

I'd say an update in advance of the presentation is as likely as not, perhaps re T&T.

It's no bother as long as it adds value that generates cash flow imo. They seem keen not to raise unnecessarily.

They have options, especially if Clink flows.

Seems Mauritius are demanding even more money!

Uk Gov have thus far refused to reveal any financial information on the deal, nor which departmental budget is expected to shoulder the ongoing payments.

The Prime Minister of Mauritius, Navin Ramgoolam, said that the UK was keen to complete the deal "before [Donald] Trump swears in as president on 20 January".

So, rushing it through as has been widely speculated.

"Growth from July to September was revised down to zero, new figures from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) showed. Living standards also fell.

Top recruiters including ManpowerGroup and Adecco have warned that Britain is in a “hiring recession”, while a survey by the Confederation of British Industry found that businesses expect to cut down on hiring, reduce output and deal with higher prices in the first three months of 2025.

The figures also imply that living standards worsened in the year to July to September, with GDP per head falling by 0.2pc rather than remaining flat as initially believed.

The numbers suggest that the economy is failing to keep pace with population growth. The fall in living standards may well be revised lower still, as the ONS will update its population estimates in January."
