Gunsup, the heat pumps could work perfectly well if nuclear power was going great guns in the UK. It isnt. As it is heat pumps are consuming electricity mostly made from gas. There isnt anything wrong with using gas to heat homes but I'm pointing the reality and ppl like Ant and Asimples are getting tetchy.
RE: Milliband introducing £120 boiler tax22 Nov 2024 09:36
Asimples but so many new builds are suffering from damp/mould. Just a coincidence I guess. You do understanding what insulation does, you saying over and over something isn't so doesnt mean there isn't an issue.
RE: Milliband introducing £120 boiler tax22 Nov 2024 09:09
Asimples you are just rude. It's obvious poor ppl should t be subsidising yr heat pump, you should pay yr own way. It's says alot about you that you get abusive when I point out yr immorality. Have a good day.

I know a home builder who has told me the exact same thing CF regarding panels. On famp evolves as the properties ages, so initially they are fine as you say. Plus some new builds are better quality than others, guessing yr are in that category.

On yr wider point about ant stealing 7500 off us all yr essentially applauding the misalloçation of capital by government. It has zero business subsidising boilers for rich ppl.
RE: Milliband introducing £120 boiler tax22 Nov 2024 08:46
Asimples go and look at some new builds, they all suffer from the same issue damp. Many builders have told me so, a home is either well insulated or well ventilated, it can't really be both!

Gas. Yr electric heat pumps are mostly gas powered. If we all want heat pumps they'd need to build 15 nuclear power stations at least. The ones being built are over budget and late.
RE: Milliband introducing £120 boiler tax22 Nov 2024 08:21
Again Angry Ant no one is stopping you installing all this stuff, we just shouldn't have to pay. Ppl should be free to decide how their home is heated in a democracy.
RE: Milliband introducing £120 boiler tax22 Nov 2024 07:57
So you've supposedly got a 5 bed house and you've taken 7500 paid for by NHS nurses taxes to install a capital intensive heating system. What a disgusting person you are. I'm sure you are telling the truth btw.
