It's now almost 5pm in Zimbabwe. Vast must know by now whether there's any possibility of the diamonds being available tomorrow. The company should release the RNS this evening. What's the point in delaying the agony until tomorrow....

Anyone investing now with an 18 - 24 months view should get a very decent return. I've recently bought in on that basis and will add more as the company progresses.

Looks like a mega battle today between buyers and sellers. Hope v Despair. And the winner is...?

It's quite clear what's happening. The Zim Govt are going to buy out VAST for c£500 million.

News more likely end of next week or first week of June. The loan repayment is now end of June.

The lack of the 'imminent' news about the diamonds is exactly what is causing the sp to fall. The up and down girations are making loads of money for the MMs who are very happy as long as the 'imminent' news fails to materialise.

Looks like an up day to me.

FOMO could well push the sp to .8 this evening. One can but hope!

Unfortunately some investors fail to realise what's not being said or is rather omitted in an RNS. We have not and are unlikely ever to see, just what soothing words were written by the Zim Govt to VAST to placate them and their investors. Whatever they said was most certainly not a guarantee of the date of delivery. Vast’s lawyers or staff have taken it upon themselves to put a warm optimistic interpretation of what they have been told. Hence cleverly using in the RNS of 12th April, such words as “that INDICATES (my caps) the matter is EXPECTED to be finalised during the course of this month (April) or in any event not later than the first half of May”. You will note that the words ‘will be finalised’ are carefully omitted.

So by the time the diamonds are received and fully processed ( asimpleinvestor so rightly brings his professional observations and realistic clarity to this bb) and the money is in the bank, it could easily take a few months or more. Unless, VAST has already agreed satisfactory offers, based on a number of valuations at different stages in the degree of processing, cleaning etc etc.

Not sure why so many people thought there would be company news today.
More likely later this month or early June. Hope to be proved wrong but as a LTH am prepared to sit this out.

0.07p has triggered a stampede of sellers. Sooner their gone the better and perhaps we can finally move upwards and onwards.

Can't help feeling there's a lot of wheeler dealer manipulation going on behind the scenes. If it leads to an uptick that will be most welcome!

Need to get rid of short term and warrant holders before the sp can move on and hopefully be revalued upward to a more realistic level.
