Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Seems to be holding OK at the moment, fingers crossed it stays up by close.
Very close prediction.
If this hits 60sp what will people do? Would be tempting to get out and make a quick profit.
What is happening at the 5th March?
I didn't take that as a dig at me at all, just healthy discussions. Capita certainly want to push tech now, and will be better off without ESS long term. We think that the new owners are going to merge the FE/HE product into SIMS, but that's for another discussion.
Moving forward, I hope Capita get this right, not that I work there anymore, but for everyone here who have invested.
What is your take on this eatstocks?
capita were putting too much faith on the sale of ESS. It was the saviour of the sp and business. Covid aside, further streamlining is required, but at what cost?
Is this why the sp is struggling to get past the 40p stumbling block?
I hope you're right, but i've been here for a few months now and we were saying that 6 months ago. I suppose at some point the prediction will be right.
Your guess is as good as anyone's.
The next year or two will be interesting, ESS was only the start. If the sp can get to 60 I'll cash in. Still got the ones from the share rights issue, so I can probably forget about those!
Under previous management, 15-20 years ago Capita were making lots of acquisitions, businesses that were not doing that well, share price was at the dizzy heights of £12. At that point things went sour, they sold a construction business based in Carlisle, I think. Then there was the TFL mess, criminal records got sued, army recruitment was a nightmare, and a lot of excellent staff moved to pastures new. I could mention a lot of mistakes but that's pint less now.
Capita did the right thing selling ESS, it was a money pit, and needed further large investments to bring it in to the 21c, during my time I've witnessed to plaster approach to the problem, where a redesign was needed.
Hopefully without ESS capita will be much stronger and maybe take better care of the employees.
Don't worry, within ESS Ltd and capita it is official. Internal comma have been confirmed.
I just no someone with more knowledge than me.
I was supposed to be published to the stock market today.
At least now it's officially sold the price my go north.
Oh well, I suppose being up 6% is OK seeing that some of mine were picked up at 50.
Has the Come about because of the latest EU news and the lower ESS share price? I had planned to sell at 50 but stayed in.
I just assumed it was the announcement of the vaccines, but that's as far as my economic understandings go!
I think it near the 75p mark.
