Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
If NLR screws over retail shareholders he should be made to feel the consequences of that on a personal basis. Everything he does, everywhere he goes. Other people he does business with.
Make it personal.
Them's the risks of screwing people over I'm afraid.
What do they still have to discuss?
Why all the delays to the inevitable?
It's taking a long time which is probably slightly positive but I can't see how Scotgold can be negotiating from a position of strength.
Is the axe about to drop - it seems to be taking a long time - or is there life in this old dog yet?
I wonder if the strategic investor has looked at the embarrassment that was the video of the AGM.
Would you invest big bucks in those guys?
As for what new funds would be used for....that Ben Luaidh (is that right?) was supposed to be massive and it's been mentioned for years. So have the other areas contained in our licence area.
Imagine the f*ck up this shower could make of something vastly bigger than Cononish!!
The first thing the new (diverse, of course) procurement team should buy is a giant broom to sweep the place clean. The shops should be full of them in the run up to Halloween.
Some seemed to be diversity hires.
Imagine that not working out.
Were the figures ever realistic or were they designed to deceive?
As for the employees getting together, I'm surprised no one has appeared on this board.
Mr Duffy's sleeping patterns - might he be anxious about a stay at His Majesty's pleasure?
I wonder what NLR is thinking at the moment. Is he spitting feathers, furious at the apparent mismanagement? Is it all part of an elaborate master plan? Will he reach into his pockets one more time? It's a pity he seems to be invisible.
Remind us how much he syphoned off for a salary.
On Friday only "confirmatory diligence" remained to be done.
Over the weekend LOL or very early this morning LOL potential investors changed their minds.
Keep the receipts. People need to be jailed for this.
Should Hetherington and Duffy be made famous for their endeavours?
Who else?
"Financing discussions are ongoing, they are at an advanced stage with confirmatory diligence being undertaken."
That might be encouraging if it is true but when you see the juxtaposition of
"short term" and "until further notice" it's probably waffle.
Slacker - ring them up and ask them.
imo
Why did three percenters and directors to a man hold firm and not sell a single share?
Did the summer signing - Mason Mount is the footballer lol - and his wife really buy in just months before we hit the iceberg?
Human nature being what it is, I think that is unlikely. Not impossible but unlikely. No one commented on this the last time I made the point.
To me it suggests they know there will be a future........ for them.
News on Friday, the last working day of the month, or Monday morning?
hey tb - are you with PD going Walkabout and hiding in Outback?
No thanks.
What would William Wallace - the real one, not the Braveheart version - have done?
The Edinburgh presentation is still viewable.
Which facts and figures?
In short, all of them.
The 'facts and figures' presented in Edinburgh should constitute strong evidence.
The second vein should constitute strong evidence.
And the big one: the AGM where the chairman told us that they'd shared what they were comfortable sharing. No judge or jury could possibly conclude anything other than they had other information which they were not comfortable sharing. But was withholding it criminal?
imo
Difficult to see why they would be doing all this work - and apparently properly this time - if they didn't see a future.
But yes indeed..... a future for whom?
There haven't been any director sells for years and all those holding 3% and more continued to hold above 3%. Agreed?
What's the likelihood that ALL the above chose to go down with the ship like some ship's captain in days gone by?
With all of them choosing to hold in the face of pathetic news after more pathetic news, isn't it more likely that they know they'll be all right Jack in the future?
So there's not quite total unanimity that we're already f****d?
Good-oh.
"NLR a victim, the Masons, people have lost millions here."
Two things about that GeorgeZ:-
1. Is that not why it's too early to say that the company is finally done for this time? Won't they pull out all the stops to prevent that?
BUT
2. If the directors end up with assets and share of a profitable debt-free mine, will they have lost anything (financially)?
Well I for one hope he sees fit to clean the Augean stables and fund one last hurrah.
