RE: War ending soon?15 Apr 2022 13:19
People thinking this war is going to go on for a long period are not really considering the costs involved of the tension to both Russia and the rest of the World. The E.U especially is suffering the most. Why are the "Yanks" still pushing the agenda, firstly it's Russia, (that's good enough for a reason alone), and secondly they can currently contain themselves from the interim fall-out of the situation. Lastly, they know they're in the wrong and basically escalated the situation over many years. Biden is playing the Bumbling Boris Johnson game of deflecting.
Why am I still invested?, for a start my average is pretty low, around 1.45-1.5p, first buy was near the 1p mark and second tranche near 2p, Anyway impo, I don't believe this feud will last to the what the doom-mongers state, simply because, (A) This is costing Russia, alongside soldiers, there's the public sentiment in Russia. The Russian public might be told otherwise by media that nothings going on or that everythings going to be fine, but the fact is the sanctions and pull-out of main corporations, (Apple, McDonalds...blah blah) is affecting them, alongside the media black-out. Putin knows the fine line is being crossed with public sentiment so he's not stupid. (B) These sanctions are, tbh, backfiring.. E.U are still paying for the oil and cannot afford not to for the foreseeable, and they know it!
The conflict has moved into it's final stages, like it or not.... those who feel it's going to hell and so is POG, I reckon you should play it safe... as for me, I like the odds and but am prepared to lose it all, BUT somehow I doubt that will happen. We'll now be trading in the 2-2.5p range next week IMO.. and I'll wait for another more positive RNS release as there's more happening behind the scenes in the companies favour than we're led to believe. All my own speculations so DYOR.
Good luck to all holding.
