The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
From memory we were told that the extension from December was requested back in October as a precautionary measure. If that is the case then it must have been close, or it would not just have been precautionary. Given we're now into Feb SURELY this must be ready for submission.
The point I was making was that if I had, then I may not have invested at that point. It's 'subtly' btw
I could have taken his words with a pinch of salt at 8p and 11p. So glad I gave him the benefit of the doubt.
I’m not surprised they are after last night. If that didn’t give you confidence then you can’t trust CF and you wouldn’t be investing here.
'how much is out Nickel worth? How many billions? All safely stashed and not going anywhere. This is better than rare wine in a cellar...'
No it's not. I've just sold some of my rare wine. I knew where it was, I got it out to sell when the buyer wanted it and I've never had to reduce it's value by diluting it to keep it there. Thankfully I also haven't had to listen to anyone's daily gibberish about minor changes in the price of wine.
If you don't get confirmation they've logged it then chase. For a previous company I had sent the instructions as per your message, but when I finally got a response from them they apologised for having missed the deadline despite my original request being sent within HL's deadline.
There never has been a strong correlation between the nickel price and this share price, and never will be until AMC show they have a clear plan to get it out. Without some clear flags about what's happening and the future , why would anyone want to buy a large enough quantity of these sufficient to affect the share price?
Perhaps those who were pumping it like mad over the weekend want to get out?
Interesting that in the past, with bad news, we'd get a few posters coming on crowding out the board with long passages about the price of nickel, the inventories, future projections for nickel prices, uptake on EV's etc. Now we have moved on to the price of iron ore, which may be slightly more relevant in the short term but is a distraction from the RNS itself. We have lost the CFO, who in the past has taken shares for salary. It is ridiculous to attempt to brush over this at a time when the TEO didn't meet the deadline and the Messiah (for some) has been voted off the Board. Just what is going on here? The comms from the company are the worst I have ever experienced. Like many, I presume, I am going nowhere until this plays out, even if that means I will lose my investment, but the amateurish attempts at diversion are fooling no-one.
I agree with you CBS and I can’t see a positive. Cue blinkered ramping speculation from some but the fact is, if we were near any positive end game holding on to PM would just be the logical thing to do. That is a terrible RNS to receive when we have so many other unknowns.
You don’t put half your net worth into a company just because you’re feeling lucky.
I too don't think the BOD pushed him out, I think they were blindsided.
Totally agree. The EGM/AGM questions process etc was a fiasco, (despite some of the newer holders blessing us with their superior knowledge of the big 'plan'). Shareholders were treated with contempt and perhaps this demonstrates that the approach was too arrogant for some.
A complete affirmation that the PI's who post on here (myself included) have absolutely no clue what is happening with this company.
He stressed many times at the shareholders presentation last November that the TAO would be the document that unlocked the Russian funding. That it why I was surprised some on here began to dismiss the TEO as an important document and also why I think missing the deadline is a poor effort.
Shadowless
re your last comment, let them. No more from me until I see progress
They state in the RNS and RY has just said they applied for an extension. Neither state they have been granted one. Q1 now for delivery + "3-6 months" after that whilst Russians review it before AMC can move forward.
Unacceptable to leave it to today to inform us of this delay.
Perhaps the newbies who have recently loaded up so confidently can now understand some of the LTH's frustrations

A member since Jan 2020 with a MO remarkably similar to a few others, telling LTHs all they need to know about their investment decisions. Thanks for the update, any other nuggets based on your extensive experience of this company, the RNS’s, the presentations etc over the years, we’re all ears.
I don’t believe the VRS one kills the virus, just stops it getting through. If so, whilst competition, that’s a major difference
I am not in a high risk category nor front line, neither are immediate members of my family, so we will not be getting a vaccine any time soon. However, I do not want me or them to contract the virus, therefore I will be buying the masks. Simple logic I believe many will follow and act on.
