you do realise tarry, that, that date will be a month away from the start of the dry season, does that mean anything to you? maybe not, but that's your problem.

i think there must be a clause in there, but what Aminex has submitted is a development planfor the Ntorya discovery,. but in saying that we also know that the CH-1 well is not dependent on the development licence, so maybe the development licence is being held back until CH-1 reveals what is down in the Jurassic. quite exciting I think

so my understanding is that the development licence will cover the whole Ntorya appraisal area, but that will apply only to the Cretaceous Ntorya discovery and not to any deeper Jurassic targets which are exploration and will fall under the control of the overall Mtwara PSA licence.

not quite sure what you're implying here, but my understanding is, the development licence will cover the same area as the appraisal licence area, but will fall inside and be governed by the overall Mtwara PSA. I think the fact that the CH-1 well is now testing the Jurassic and can be classed as exploration as well as appraising/developing the cretaceous does not change the status of that area which is appraisal or development pending licence being granted.

Tarry, I think what will come hot off the licence award, is the farm-out EGM etc. which hasn't been agreed on just a handshake but on a legally binding document

morning Dunder, no this is the same licence where Aminex has discovered and confirmed by the CPR Ntorya Pmean GIIP: of 1.87 TCF .

I suppose, all the time Aminex are without the Mtwara PSA licence extension, they must be immune to any unsolicited take-over approaches, to try and mussel in to acquire the valuable Ntorya asset. so maybe, the holding back of the licence is a kind of ploy to protect Those interests of TPDC, Zubair and Aminex, until that is all is ready to be signed and sealed by the end of November.

I wonder if the SS gas plant has been manned the last few months, as far as I understand it the KN-1 well was its only supply and when it failed miserably, the TPDC might have concluded to stand the operatives down, knowing that the KN-1 well as is, isn't viable? the other thing we have only known about the potential of a lower untested gas bearing section since the end of Aug .

I really can't see any benefit that the TPDC/Tanzanian Government could gain by not issuing the Mtwara licence extension which in turn will block the farm-out, halt the C-1 drill and Ntroya development. and at a time when it is know that by the end of next year gas demand could well be higher than what gas could be supplied.

I think the Government are just being careful maybe extra careful, to insure they don't issue a licence and find themselves like they have with Songas/Orca and the Songo Songo gas field which they have little control over.
