They are in the Nevada desert. The state of Nevada alone would probably swallow the U.K., a look at the map will show you that. Population of Nevada is just over 3 million, UK is 67m. Exactly how is the US in complete and utter mess?

Despite the coronavirus pandemic, I don't think this will have any impact on drilling. The project is in Nevada. Provided the company have the workforce and all resources ready, it should still go ahead. The RNS in February/ early March mentioned a drilling contractor has been identified, so they may have been getting ready for some time, ready to crack on with drilling- they may have even started. I also think a neighbouring drilling contractor is a high possibility because they will know the area and the potential of gold resource.
An investor does not just give £600,000 blindly and at a premium. They will have wanted assurances in place before investing.

Worth remembering this is AIM, not FTSE 100 so to reduce their losses by 1.4m in a year is quite a turnaround
