My pot as of just now is just shy of 500k if I got an annuity with that no lump sum I'd be lucky to get 20k a year and that's taxable too I couldn't live off 20k I get more than that with divis already pensions are fecking crap back in 1990 the same pot woukd give me 50k a year annuities are ballox now

Craig there's also a charge/fee for transfering your money onto a annuity/drawdown/flexible drawdown....you can split it too say buy a small annuity and do draw down on tbe test the idea being the annuity is a regular income that coukd pay your monthly bills draw down depends on what _ your money does for a year it may do 4% ..it may even lose money too

But when I can I'm going 25% tax free and flexible draw down meaning (if ya already don't know) if I had say 100k and it did say 8% for that year I'd take say 5% out let the rest run plus increase the pot there's charges too to consider
