Yesterday I read an article that I can no longer find but it was about Tullow and its right to make a claim against tube maker Vallourec to the sum of $257 million dollars for the supply of faulty tubes to their wells in Ghana.... no mention by Tullow though which I would think at a time of so much negative news would have been something to shout about.....anyone else seen this? or is it old news, i don't think so as I believe the high court only gave the greenlight for Tlw to pursue this claim the other day if I remember rightly what i read. Anybody else any knowledge on this?

Hello all..... I wonder if someone with better understanding and knowledge than me can put a post on here outlining Tullow in simple terms, a kind of snap shot and answer the question posed....

Can Tullow with the amount of oil it drills ever get its debt paid right down and get into profit on the levels of oil that it currently drills or has availabble to drill in the near term.

...and what are thoughts on Perks and why he was appointed? Truly a big hitter in this industry but it seems he has come on board with a very loud whimper and not a single big roar! I for one thought that it was a positive appointment that had potential to shift the SP a little.....mm how wrong was I there .....wrong yet again with Tullow....and probably not for the last time !!!

Is this the start of a new TLW where they actually give us some updates in the form of RNS, are we actually going to get company news on a more regular basis under the new CEO...... fingers crossed for a bit more effort from TLW to generate interest and get this dire SP off ground zero!!......

I wonder what Mr Perks got up to yesterday on his first day at the helm!?

Is this article really about Tullow? shareholder returns, dividend payments, good financial management errrr in a dream I read these articles as I see my holding over the years dwindle to nothing!!!

Wish i'd never heard of Tullow all those years ago.....simply that!!!

....and breath out!! nothing really is there, not up....not down (yet) still that 19-20p marker..... another year of waiting for something to spark this into life! ho hum!!

Having held Tlw for years now I've come to expect not a lot from the investment/dice roll and the company, tucking it in the bottom drawer and wait and see! However I really did think that come the positive result on the Ghana tax situation, not a drop in the ocean in terms of financial obligation/overhead that they have avoided to everyones relief, one would have thought that the SP would at least be a little higher than before the court ruling.......wasn't this a massive positive for TLW? or am I missing something here...... surely with such a big ball and chain removed from teh company it should have steadily risen to above 21p where we languish now....... it just says to me that there is some very dark news potentially brewing in the back room closet and we will find out once this shambles of BOD start to run the company in an appropriate and timely way, put out RNS, keep investors upt to date, create investor interest, rather than sit tight and 'say nothinggg!!' Where to next? I think out of the bottom drawer and lost behind the cabinet!

so announcement of a new appointment of rebecca wiles, a lady with high credentials coming onboard from bp and all anyone on here can do is **** of the rampers, derampers and whoever else puts their half pennies worth of drivel on this chat board.

i for one find this information very encouraging for the near and the longer term and shows that tullow has the ability to attract key players in the industry to its fold....surely a very positive sign that things are looking up.

I get the fact that I will not be given information that isn't privy to all. The point is to make them aware of growing discontent among shareholders. If nobody said anything as is the case in so many avenues of life these days.. then they just continue on the path of least resistance blissfully unaware that we, the investors are frustrated with their performance, their pay, their bonuses etc, and they just carry on with their silence.... if on the other hand everyone with a vested interest tells them directly of their frustration, anger....hope? Maybe something will come of it.....maybe...

I am a small time private investor and have held Tullow shares in my portfolio for some years now and all I can say is what a mistake that has been. The performance of this company and its share price has been absolutely woeful and continues to deteriorate on a daily basis without any word from the BoD. WHat on earth are you doing to stop this catastrophic decline in the value of Tullow, the value of shareholders holdings and the destruction of investors confidence that the company is on the ball and trying to turn this ship.
Even after the high prices of oil in the recent year or so, nothing positive from tlw?
Awful performance.
Can anyone there at the end of email give me some kind of reassurance that anybody cares about this company going forwards and pulling it out of this spiraling quagmire you have put tullow into.?

Got to go back beyong 2009 for lower than this and my weekly IG chart doesn't show that far back..... not very encouraging!!

OPEC , absolutely agree. This is a defunct system that controls global prices and is the bully boy of economies!! The whole reason in my opinion why they are not ramping up production is due to the fact if people recall that in the first global lock down oil prices went negative, holders of oil were paying people to take oil off their hands as there was no storage facilities 'globally' that were not full to capacity....nobody wanted oil and none was being used..... now 2/3 years on they are recouping their blip in their trillion dollar industry and ringing every last cent out of the world economy to pay back their dent in their gigantuous dollar accounts!! When will they open up more production? Only the cartel know the answer to that, a lot more pain to come for the everyday person I think for a while yet.
OPEC should be gone, it is a monopoly, controlled by iindividulas under the banner of oil producing countries whose only interest is make as much money as is possible from this situation. There is no excuse not to ramp up production that I can see. It would help every economy in the worls which is suffering at the moment, from prices of food, manufacturing, transport.....absolutley everything day to day.

More dilution.....????? christ how much more can this share price have! Sat on this for years now, forgotten about it really in the bottom drawer, but maybe, just maybe something is round the corner!! Dream, dream, dream, la,la, la la!!
