I think that Tui would have performed better than easy jet, because Tui also cater for the domestic markets in booking hotels/ holiday parks. I think their flights and cruises would have been decimates, but the self employed agents I know are booking ob behalf of clients through tui even caravan staycations. So I am very interested in how this is going to work.
In mainland Europe, it is not an Island, most families have a tendency to just drive to Spain, not book a plane.
Tui does not only revolve around Spain and its airline. So I am seeing value here.
However, with this I am also s==t scared after what happened with Thomas Cook, I hate debt, but everyone seems to have it now.
I think its based on panic, Tui do not only sell package holidays which includes flights.
I just booked a week in a holiday park through Tui in the country I leave in, so they are also catering to staycations within Europe.
My opinion is panic and I do not think there accounts will be hit as hard as everyone epxects. only the abroad package holidays part.
All other holidays in mainland Europe are fully booked, even centre parcs is charging 3k for a week!!!!!

TUI Group - Completion of Aircraft sale and leaseback agreement with BOC Aviation Limited
Hanover, 3.8.2020. TUI Group confirms the signing of a sale and leaseback ("SLB") agreement with BOC Aviation Ltd for five new Boeing 737 MAX-8 aircraft for the aggregate sum of $226m (~€193m).
The first aircraft is expected for delivery in the first quarter of FY21 with the remaining four aircraft expected to be delivered ahead of the Summer 2021 season.
In line with our asset-right strategy as outlined in our FY19 year-end results, the SLB agreement with BOC Aviation Ltd will finance five new Boeing 737 MAX-8 aircraft as part of our planned re-fleeting programme.
We expect the lease agreement with BOC Aviation Ltd, on standard commercial terms, to create a total lifetime lease obligation of around €223m to commence by the end of FY21. We expect further SLB financing on our future deliveries beyond FY21, in line with our newly agreed deferred re-fleeting programme with Boeing.
All those political advisers and they don’t know micromanaging a large industry does not work. They are sending the travel industry into a spiral.
Travel and tourism employed 3.5 - 4 million people in the UK. The government don’t give a damn and are doing nothing to support the industry.
I’m not going to vote conservatives again and I come from the conservative belt!
I think positive news is opening up for travel and also a vaccine.
I think the micromanaging governments are doing at the moment is not working.
My average on this trade is 302, but it’s also 50,000 shares at the moment. Gritting teeth!!!!!!
