I've been browsing through some of the GGP messages from 2020. Very interesting similarities to where we are right now.... Including this one in response to a post referring to comments made by David Lenigas who was bullish on GGP at the time.....

"Er... Lenigas has nothing to do with GGP. He is involved with some 'nearology' companies, but be careful - Many have had experience with Lenigas and his companies in the past, and have reported some very costly and unfortunate results......"

This was late September 2020 following a 30% drop in the GGP SP, having climbed 10x in the previous 9 months. From that 30% drop the following few months led to another close to 100% rise.

2 things to do right now,

1 - be patient

and

2 - if you're able, TOP UP!

So, blue finish? not sure. Looks to me like the MMs have flushed out as many as possible at that low level and realised, there aren't many who are prepared to let go of their golden tickets.. So MMs will push the price back up, but keep the spread wide. Remember MMs aren't really interested in it being 1p or 50p, they are interested in the spread.

This is well worth listening to - go to 12 mins in and listen for a few mins

If we know, they'll know too, naive to think otherwise. More likely they'll have more knowledge than us.

This kind of feels like, "stick a tweet up, increase the SP a bit before we issue news...... nope that didn't work, stick another one out...... hmmm it helped a little but fell back again, try one more time.... "

Google told me this - thought it was interesting so sharing here.... Looks like some of the AQSE bids at the time were higher... Either way - this is going to end blue today in anticipation of some proper news later in the week (I hope!)

If you observe a "bid higher than the ask" on a trading platform, it's likely due to one of the following:

Stale data: A delay in the data feed where one price has updated but the other has not.

Low liquidity: In very illiquid or thinly traded stocks, the spread can be very wide, and rapid price movements might make it appear momentarily as if the bid is higher before the system catches up.

Spoofing/Manipulation: Sometimes large, "fake" orders are placed and then quickly canceled to create an illusion of demand or supply, which can confuse observers of Level 2 data.

Different exchanges: The bid and ask might be from different exchanges with slight delays or different trading costs making immediate arbitrage uneconomic.

In a highly liquid, real-time market environment, an immediate trade would prevent a bid from remaining higher than an ask.

For a period the bid was higher than the ask .... confused
