I missed this last week, but has had some good news, i got in first thing today... it has seen sustained buys since then... Buys 307,700 sells 1700
could be longer, H1 is Apr to Jun, we shouldn't assume it will be the earliest possibility, could easily be 2 months away...
only that there will be a lot of people closing long positions, those that were anticipating a rise on spudding, the same people will be back on another day, but this will create a chance for a top up...
19 February 2007 CHACO RESOURCES PLC ('Chaco' or 'The Company') PRIMAVERA UPDATE FOR CACHAPA £1 WELL & NEW AREA Chaco Resources Plc (AIM: CHP), the oil and gas explorer and developer focused in South America announces that the spud date for the Cachapa £1 well on the Primavera block, Colombia, is now anticipated to be in the first half of March 2007. The Operator, Gran Tierra Energy Inc, has advised that the rig is currently in Colombia and is being assembled and serviced before moving to the Cachapa wellsite. Negotiations for a new exploration project are proceeding satisfactorily and we hope to be in a position to make an announcement in a few weeks time. Mr Stephens is a qualified geologist and has been a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists since 1970.
i have a large amount of these, so i do follow them quite closely, when they are traded more heavily the spread does close substantially... i am actually surprised the mm's are holding the spread this wide considering 5m shares have changed hands today... nothing is ever for granted in this game, but this company is now cash sufficient, and valued on last years turnover, of which i believe has increased 3 fold, i expect a re-rating... as always dyor etc...
i've got the AGM down as today, would be nice to hear about the proposed share buy back plans...
talk of a recommended share buy back plan at next agm, buy now when theres no news... possibly the start of an uptrend...?
i have been adding at low levels, patience is a virtue...
did say there was more to come... although i sold a tad early, and got similar to Gedw, hindsight! even though my instincts told me this would go back to 6/7p...
cracking company... One of mr.Winithrith's faves... more upside to come...
A bearish day for small oilies...at time of writing EME, CHP, GPX, GED, and others heading downwards quite sharply, because of Mr. T.W's comments...? my question is, is this just one day, or perhaps a few days of correction...?
Elroy... agree, my view is short term rise with hype on production, and then to become overvalued, together with chance of further placings in near future, should become a rocky ride, but certainly good prospects for long term...
USA, Rick... i am sorry but i just dont follow you, are you sure your not muddling this up with other shares that you have owned during a rights issue...? The value of the company will not change at all, they will have 100 x less shares in issue, but the value of those shares will be worth 100 x more... all that will happen is the share will now attract the attention of institutions that previously wont look at 'penny shares' and will gain further liquidity, the timing is perfect to coincide with production starting, to get the institutions attention... i dont see anything negative at all about the consolidation... read Davius and Gedw's posts...
no change in value whatsoever... just shares worth 100 x more, but 100 x less holding...
now a great price to add, or include to your portfolio, with prices still matched to last half year results, which was on a turnover (from memory) of about 2.3m. DYOR and see how much the company have turned over since... this company is ripe for a re-rating
correct...unless its shares plus cash offer...
hmmmm a nice rise like at the end of June would be nice...
is exactly right... there's no difference in value, just that if its not considered a penny share it promotes liquidity....
hmmmm could have made millions today on this one... lol
decided to get in @160p a good company...did you get some more?
