bought in today @ 95p just for results, heres hoping they deliver, could do with some good luck...
used the dip over last couple days to top up, am now overweight with these, quality company...
its usually just part of an order...
thats old news now, before the event and only announced as it took the holding over the threshold, who knows where the sp will go from here... 6p in two weeks, or bounce back to 9p??? if i knew the answer for certain i would be richer than i am now... however i thought i read somewhere that Alea was already worth 10p a share, correct me if i'm wrong... I was out all afternoon so a bit of a shocker when i saw the hit i've taken on these, but then i'm not selling and quite possibly will add now to ave down, in a 2 yr scheme, this could be a great time to buy, but i shall not be buying any other oilees anymore, its become too expensive to drill...
its an oily.... aaaaaaargh...!!! lol
Gedw already in with the news, thought id paste anyway... LONDON (AFX) - Virgin Media and BT have emerged as surprise frontrunners for broadband provider Pipex Communications PLC, which put itself up for sale last week, reports the Telegraph, without citing sources. Both companies are believed to have made significant approaches for the group, the paper says. Pipex's adviser, UBS AG, is believed to have asked for first-round bids for the business by Friday. alexander.ferguson@thomson.com af/jr
like our goverment is really going to accept less tax on anything...
Looking at the deals today, i would imagine the large delayed reported trades to be purchases as the price has risen steadily, that makes a possible buy tally at 9m v 468,000 sells halfway through the day... roll on more franchise deals...
starting to fly... typical as i have lightened the load recently...!
If you love it, pledge it...
took the opertunity for a top up this morning, the mid price deals are buys, as i have just bought at 12.5p...
The brief flirtation with 14p yesterday was the DCB i mentioned id did provide a decent profit for anyone in at 11p, where it will now go depende on a lot of things, but the news from the states is not bright at the mo, with all the problems that are surfacing with their subprime lending, and with each drop over there (mirrored by us) sentiment is being eroded, at the present time, i see little to drive the markets substantially ahead, (ie only news driven or defensive stocks seeming to prosper)
LONDON (AFX) - Coffee Republic PLC said it has signed an agreement with Turkish company Ada Kahve Gida Sanayi ve Ticaret Limited Sirketi to develop the chain in Turkey. The coffee and deli bar operator said the deal gives Ada the right to develop Coffee Republic Delis in Turkey and recruit franchisees to operate such outlets. Hakan Tangulu, co-founder of Ada, said he has identified a number of potential sites, with a flagship store expected to be open in Istanbul in early July. Tangula, a local wholesale industry veteran, anticipates more sites will follow in the near future. Steven Bartlett, CEO of Coffee Republic, said the group has now completed two international franchise deals and continues to be 'impressed with the level of ... interest for both domestic and international franchises'. 'Accordingly, we anticipate further announcements over the coming months,' he added. newsdesk@afxnews.com sjm/abr
massive plans, huge franchise roll out plans, perhaps large borrowing short term, but massive potential... dont see this as a short term gain, but could do very well in long term...
i think thats several days old, dont expect much of an increase just yet... sector is still out of favour, would want this to return to £2.00 before re-investing...
haven't looked at futures, but i would imagine a 20/30 point climb in morning, modest perhaps but the good quality stocks are shining through, RTN, TAN, RCG, to name a couple... sorry i've been drinking thats a few,,, lol, i still call this a correction as there are so many buyers filling the markets as the indices drop, i believe it will take a while before sentiment changes, and results of large co's have (generally) been positive... check out CFE, if you can spare cash on a long term basis... looks good, remember DOM...?
timing is a massive word in the stock market... nearly as big as 'sentiment' i see this co going bust so not interested in a small recovery, better money in co's like RTN...
A ray of sunshine on a cloudy day, a good defensive stock in turbulent times...
I'm in too...lol
perhaps we should vacate this as our discussion thread... lol anyway we all set for red this morning...?
