"Buy the companies debt from in this case bank iof Cameroon...a company with the cam gov having a stake. Dangerous gambit. Oh, and RSM with a share in logbaba."
--You think a Russian needs to talk to CamGov or RSM/Grimm Jnr to buy from VOG's lender overdue debt from a close to insolvent company? I am not so sure. A simple standard assignment clause will allow. In any event, I think the bank would consider it. After all, this is Africa.
"The company could also borrow money from the market to repay the debt buyer, and from the speed of the placing can't see that being a problem.
-- another £10M or so? Where does that leave the LTHs?? Sounds like the PIs have to double down every Q to ONLY avoid dillution. Fair enough for an early stage company, but after 10 years, at some point you have to stand back and ask if there is a growing business here. I still think there could be. But there is too much near term ahead.
