Jim - imagine a birthday party for a wee boy, let’s call him Jamie, where the guests are playing musical chairs. Some of the guests are children of sock dynasty, who were not nice to Jamie. As the chairs get removed round by round Jamie has managed to find a seat. So have the sock children. Now the game is nearly over, and the birthday boy has nearly won. The master of ceremonies, let’s call him Dan, has just removed one further chair. There two players left.
Question: does Dan at this point reintroduce dozens of more chairs to give more sock children a go. Or does he play out the game for Jamie??
