Crazy reactions here: we've got a cornerstone institutional investor putting the money in here, along with directors - albeit at relatively small amounts to ensure that Heights don't dilute even more and immediately start a sell off into market. So this supports the share price and what is the institutional investor seeing - from the 'inside' - to prompt them to put up the cash?

Then we've got CC reiterating progression in partnership negotiations from imminent data - it appears to be a ticking timebomb here about to go off IMO...

Apologies if this has already been discussed but what new info related to 6000 do people expect at Bio - i.e. that wasn't reported at ASCO/the recent investor presentation?

Indeed HarChris, better way of putting it than I did in terms of what we are looking to see. Thanks :)

The data is going to have to give us something concrete - i.e. "we have now shown that this is safe AND effective - this data proves it". That will then propel the SP and give us confidence that a partner is likely to come aboard and the FDA/other health agencies could fast track it. If the data still leaves questions unanswered - i.e. "we need more data/time/money to find out the benefits to patients", then the SP will likely follow previous patterns where there has been 'disappointment' in the market. Obviously hopeful of the first scenario but we wait to see...

I know CC has previously alluded to partnering discussions taking place but is the first time she has confirmed there actual NDAs in place?

Last year CC was clear that some partnering discussions were effectively paused as more data was needed to progress them. This year she sates:

"Our new data in both clinical programs are anticipated to be significant advances in moving these ongoing conversations forward. "

This is good enough for me :)

If as we hope, AVCT SP starts to really motor in the coming weeks and months, better get prepared for a large dose of eggy-types spamming the board. It's usually a good sign though....

Well one thing is likely sure - the placing shares were sold last couple days. Interesting that management are taking every opportunity possible to put themselves squarely in front of shareholders, scientists and potential investors this year. You could argue that they have always done so, but it just seems that unlike so many AIM companies, they have absolutely nothing to hide and everything to shout about :))

I doubt you're in any way serious/credible Sunday but in case it escaped your notice, there was a hell of a lot more selling yesterday and Friday....

The fact is we don't know if it was a buy order being filled and then reported at a later time thus showing as a sell. But as you say James, if it was a sell it has been absorbed well

thanks for the info from those that attended yesterday. all very positive imo. utterly bizarre posts yesterday - pure ******** and whining (i unfiltered so i could see the crazy reactions). not surprising that the sp has recovered to where it was a couple of days ago and that if anything the co. continues to go from strength to strength.

science days are an excellent op for the company to meet face to face with the science and investment communities and i'm in no doubt that the value of this is huge in the medium term. the same people who fail to see the point of them would slate the company if they didn't do them for hiding behind their salaries. and failing shareholders.

Despite lots of green boxes I can see there is much "concern" for Avacta again. If it's not AS and the LFT (again and again), it's that there's not really much need for our therapies anyway, even if they are a success...

If we get a deal for SCG it wouldn't matter the scale of the need, it would validate the platform commercially and the rest would follow. It would be a defining moment for the company and for SH.

Agree with Jes that it's likely still a fair volume of placing shares being flipped. Not an unhealthy pullback given the extent to which we have risen in recent months. I'll be looking to top up if it drops to 71p - hoping that previous resistance acts as support there, and also given science day next week could bring further enthusiasm for the share depending on the info released... This is just me sharing me thoughts and welcoming any associated reasoned opinion

Thanks for the comments on the SP and Chart - it was me that originally asked for some chartists perspective.

That's all more or less my understanding - at the time I was wondering if we could pull back to around 71p in which case I was planning to release more funds to buy. It seems though that for now, we have found a higher level of support :)
