'Vaccine star of the pandemic' has recorded steep hike in coronavirus-related fatalities in recent weeks
A spike in Covid-19 deaths in one of the most highly vaccinated populations in the world is causing widespread concern among countries poised to lift coronavirus restrictions.

A total of 679 people died from the virus last month in Israel, according to latest figures released by the nation’s Health Ministry. The steep increase has triggered fears that the “vaccine star of the pandemic” is succumbing to the Omicron variant, The Telegraph reported.
Early warning
Israel “rolled out its initial jabs with great speed this time last year amid the deadly Alpha wave”, and “saw off Delta in the summer by pioneering booster shots”, said The Telegraph.
But even though health leaders “made fourth doses available to medics and the elderly” following the arrival of Omicron, death rates in the Middle Eastern nation are “soaring”.

Plenty red on my monitor as the wider market looks for direction… maybe profit takers, maybe stop losses but plenty of support here.

We will have to press CP on Railsbank investing in Tally…with a billion + valuation surely they can tip 10m our way to help with the IPO…surely there could be some collaborative work down the line as Tally develops in other jurisdictions….maybe this has already been discussed hence CP and bigMJ being so confident.all we had to do was wait for the RB valuation to hit £1b then it was all systems go? A profit is a profit however you look at it be it 10% or 500%…some here happy to take the former a few like me more than happy to wait for the later…there are no wrong moves….but you can be sure any who have sold out will either buy back in very soon or will be kicking themselves. :-)

Yorkshire people have shared the horrific symptoms they have experienced as norovirus spreads across the nation.

There are cases of the unpleasant winter vomiting bug every year in the UK.
But experts fear there could be many more cases than usual this yea r, as people return to their pre-pandemic routines.

And several cases of the bug have been found in Yorkshire, leaving people with vomiting and diarrhoea for days.
Suzanna Walshaw, who believes she suffered with norovirus a couple of weeks ago, shared her unpleasant experience online.

She said: "Woke up nauseated then threw up lots of bile for 5 hours nearly non stop!! Luckily the bug only lasted 2 days!! But couldn't eat at all."
Suzanna said her mum who cared for her while she was ill also went on to catch the bug.

For Benjamin O'Neill, catching norovirus also felt horrible.

He said it was "a million times worse" than when he had Covid-19.

The six main symptoms of norovirus are vomiting, watery diarrhoea, feeling sick, aching arms and legs, a high temperature, and a headache.

Fortunately, the unpleasant symptoms usually go away in about two days, according to the NHS's website.
