As far as I am aware travel ban is only for south east region..I live in Hertfordshire and of course it affects me but it’s not for whole UK and this will be temporary for couple of weeks I think
On positive note US congress have passed new stimulus package over weekend worth around $800 billion..this news surely help travel shares ..I think it’s a big news

Even just on Brexit deal this will fly..if deal is done it’s a great success..positive sentiments will take closer to 150 if not beyond..hoping good one week ahead ..Brexit deal will certainly help FTSE to touch 7000 mark which is fair to be honest when other global markets recovered well..FTSE should touch around 7000 on Brexit deal news so as RR should go closer to 150..let’s hope
Possibility of Deal + US stimulate + Moderna vaccine approval..all 3 major events happening in a week time..Brexit deal will push this around 150 i think..time to buy
Hopefully will make difference on sentiments

scoopusave and Davross1 - Thanks for your advice..yes I do agree with you that putting all eggs in one basket is dangerous game and I might spread around next week but to be honest for some reason considering this price of IAG I do feel as soon as some good news about Brexit/flights this should shoot up 15-20% on same day..so I feel at this price this I safest ..if this goes down to 140-150 ( which I don't think this should) still I will be happy to hold for ( hope I will lol) for next 3 months and 210 should be achievable within couple of months..i think Its realistic ..was expecting this to be around 200 by now any ways so price is holding back ..lets hope for the best..
I did couple of mistakes and invested at wrong time and booked loss on my investment ..I managed to recover 65% of my loss and still 35% of loss to recover..issue with me is I am very impatient..bought RR at 110 and decided to hold till 150 which and by that time I can recover my loss but sold at 115 thinking it will go down..now buy IAG at 170 and if this will go to 210 I can recover my loss..put all eggs in one basket and I am hoping this basket is safer from now on..and hope I hold till 210.good luck to all
just read few comments about this discussion. I just want to share my personal experience about this ..may or may not help to others.
I started using spread bets 7-8 months ago. Initial 2 months were very good ..I am more like day trader and don't hold any stocks for long..nothing to do with any particular company but I am very impatience. If one don't look out calculations and margins its very easy to loose money. After few good experiences its easy carried away /be over confident and sometimes u don't even realised that you end up using over margin and invested more that you should. Exactly happened with me and I had to sell my stocks in loss.. now I still do spread bet recovered half of my loss and now as 50% money is back I am treating my spread bets as physical stocks that means I only buy stocks worth of actual money I do have in spread bets account and don't use my over margin for now..one thing I learn is choose a stock wisely for spread bet and use over margin in those stocks wont make harm..for example recently bought GSK worth of 1289 and I knew for fact that if I use my margin and buy bit more than I should..it wont harm me in that price. Just be very careful doing spread bets..now I decided to hold RR worth of 50k avg is 111 in my spread bet account and not using any extra margin for that and will hold till 150 which will cover my losses and hope that happens sooner..
There is a glitch in google pre market price..US carnival should open 2% down..
Has anyone noticed UK carnival not reflecting US pre market price..i normally do track this regularly and when I am comparing yesterday's UK market close price to US carnival. Its not reflecting..as per my calculation UK carnival should be around 1350 as per current US pre market price.. just took the risk as topped up UK CCL at price of 1325..lets see how it goes..
I am not holding any RR but thinking to buy since long..Can someone please advice me what is current price equivalent to price before RI..and is it good time to buy or hold for a dip?
I am not as experienced as most of you guys and i have no shame in admitting it..way i look cinema closer announce is ..they want to make sure company do survive in this difficult time so now i have more confident that cine wont bust..thats the only question i was asking my self since last few weeks that will company survive yes or no..now i can feel it will by taking this serious step which was required when no movies out so its not rocket science..now if company will survive what could be the bargain price..i personally don t think this will even go bellow 20p..forget about 10p..so i am hoping to buy around 25p ..and hold till 6-12 months..hope i am right in my thinking..
Thanks for few suggestions..invest some where else? but where thats the question? i still believe without 6-12 months this will prove a good investment if there is good news for vaccine and movies will be out from next year..considering volatility of this one i am happy to invest here as i think company will survive so thinking to buy half cine and half RR ..both are risky but cine around 25p for mid to long term and RR i already bought one lot at 103 and will buy more to qualify for 32p RI and will hold with avg price of around 50p (After RI price) ..i think both cine and RR will survive..
I bought a quite a lot at 63p when it went up few weeks back guessing this will recover to 90p to 100p but i was wrong in my judgement and unfortunately sold at 42.5 with heavy loss ..i just didnt feel good after reading the results that does not mean i dont trust cine its just for now i dont see any positivities around..back to back bad news..my question is i want to buy back not to make profit but to cover my loss from 63p to 43p sell out..for some reason i always get bit panic when i do short ..so short is not for me..i want to buy again for my long position to cover my loss..
1) should i buy all in one go at possible lowest price? what is the lowest price?
2) start buying in lots from 30p?
dont mind holding for 6-12 months
All you knowledgeable people share your thoughts please
Thanks
I just called my CFD company and they confirmed ..if we are holding in CFD can still get RI same like others..no difference. We just need to confirm weather we want to go for it or not..
I want to hold this for mid to long term..what is the best advice ? I want to make sure I do qualify to get RI shares..buy now or wait for few days this will drop more before 23rd oct? I am not holding any here but I am hoping this is good hold for long term..so if I buy any day before 23rd oct I will be eligible to get my RI shares..is that right?
If I am currently not holding RR shares and if I buy today will I be eligible for RI shares? if yes till which date I can buy shares and if NO what you think best time to just buy any ways for long term hold..thanks in advance
I can buy 7500 RI shares however I am not willing to add any extra money from my bank account to buy them. I have 2 options
1) Sell some of my current IAG shares with any price from 135-150 and use that money to buy RI shares
2) Sell my LLOYDS shares in loss and use that money to buy RI shares
I cant see any other alternative to buy RI shares unless someone can please guide me and also please advise me which option is better number 1 OR number 2 OR any other alternative apart from taking extra money out from my account.
