The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
The lack of comms from this company is a disgrace.
It's been five months since the last production update and almost a month since an investor meetup was promised in the "very near future".
A company in the early stages of production should be putting out quarterly updates at a bare minimum especially when previous figures fell so far below expectations. An explanation of how supposed graphite experts overestimated the head grade by 50% would be useful too, surely accurate figures would have been essential in informing the decision of whether or not to mine in the first place.
All in all it's hardly surprising that some people fear foul play.
I have emailed the Poddars expressing my concerns and will report back if I get a reply.
According to mhow's post from the 29th February, the company had said that the meeting would be scheduled in the “very near future”.
Or in other words, "imminently" just like the vat refund!

Malawi don't appear to be in any rush to wrap up anything anytime soon.
...what's going on behind the scenes.
Is it individual politicians holding out for bribes or a cheap entry point or is the Malawian ministry insisting on such onerous terms that Mkango cannot possibly consent?
Monica is in the news again bemoaning the fact that mining only contributes 1% to Malawi's GDP.

If only there was something she could do to address this problem.
Does anyone know when we can expect the next production update ?

Seems like the Malawian MoM is playing hardball with Lotus. I wonder what this means for Mkango.

The tweet (posted earlier by suepud1) from the Malawi ministry of mining stating that they expect to sign the MDA
with Mkango by December has since been deleted.
Let's hope that's not a bad sign.
Just logged on and I appear to have missed the action.
Am I right in thinking that vela is also listed on the nasdaq?
I hope so because that opens in a couple of minutes and I'm hoping the sp kicks up again this afternoon.
Tomorrow's meeting is at 10.00 eastern time which is 15.00 BST.
Unless they can hold the meeting, tally the votes and get the news out inside an hour and a half then there probably won't be much happening tomorrow.
From RNS dated 29/06/22
"Tower is pleased to announce that its subsidiary, Tower Resources Cameroon SA ("TRCSA"), has executed a term sheet with BGFI Bank Group ("BGFI"), the largest bank group in Central Africa, for a medium term loan of CAF 4.42 billion (equivalent to approximately US $7.1 million."
Still waiting for finance. Permit expired on May 11th. Woof woof.
The problem for me is the spod grades.
Either the lab has yet to return the results, in which case the deal must surely be delayed.
Or, Georgie has got the grades and is sat on the info in contravention of AIM rules which require any news which could affect the SP to be released asap.
Either way, it's a little worrying.
In the Stockbox interview from the 30th May, GR stated that he expected the results "very shortly".
Are there any geologists/lab technicians on this BB who know how long this should take?
Surely the lab results must be made available before any deal with Canmax can be concluded.
Well, the Cameroon exploration permit expired yesterday. Whether renewed or denied there should be an RNS as per AIM
rules.
Not that I'm surprised, I'm still waiting for the RNS explaining what the hell happened to the Beluga deal.
Interesting vid about Shein's dodgy business practices.
