I appreciate the the UKGOV has a say in takeovers and monopolies, is it the same for moving across the Atlantic, or would it be covert pressure to stop the move (if muted). TVM.

I was expecting a drop away when the US market opened, but it has held the gain into positive territory. Hope it holds and further gains for next week. Enjoy and GL.

Thanks for that. I take it your strategy is a form of VCA? If so do you notice the negative movement with the opening of the US markets? This offers you a better buy opportunity. The US traders are off loading stock prior to the pending election. I believe South direction will continue until election is over. Maybe not day after day, well hope not! I do hold here, and am more than pleased to be wrong. I hope pending divi might also help. All my own opinion as ever. ATB & very GL.

Agree 100% on the protracted delivery of budget news. 'Death by a 1000 cuts' springs to mind! The pessimism ensures the public have had enough and just want it over with no matter what the severity. Hopefully see you all on the other side of this fiasco and all intact! Then to face Trump/Harris fallout. GLA.

Has anyone any views on how the UK pending budget and the floowing US elections might pan-out for Bae? Seem to have given ground recently, are investors selling up to mitigate any CGT rise? Would be an over- reaction? Trump still in with a chance, and thus would Bae be knocked by any trade tariffs. They do have some serious US contracts.
