Hi Tony. I was listening on a US financial news channel that US investors were looking more to the UK markets for opportunities as there's a thought that the US markets are maxed and we lag behind, thus opportunity knocks. Seems to be quite the opposite at the moment! Funny old game!!! ATB . BD

Totally agree. Need to also watch what happens with the US market opening later. We stand the chance of taking another knock unfortunately. GLA.

Jakers, I've noticed this and kinda used it to my advantage occasionally. That said I dont understand what the root cause is. Are the US dumping stock, are they day trading? Its so pronounced sometimes. May i ask, does your knowledge extend to enlightening me? VMT in advance. I will be following RP's advice and step away for a bit!

Y11- thanks for the reply. Your point is taken. Admit my research is not as thorough and probably not as professionalas others, but it got me into BP at 380p. I was happy with the decision, but a dayb drop of 1.5% still knocks me. I take it this was the US market opening that gave us the drop today? GL.

I'd have thought that's Trumps presidency and Ll it holds would be priced in by no. Despite the recent positive news regarding BP we still give ground and can't hang on to modest gains. Are we to wait until Feb 2025 for any movement, which could be North or South? Pretty poor show at present. Obviously IMO.
