Yep - seems to be ticking along nicely. Substantial increase in revenue last year and good news yesterday with another phase III contract. Seems to be under the radar of most but that's no bad thing.

A reminder that Redx have been shortlisted for the Most Innovative European Biotech SME Award 2015. The winner will be announced tomorrow by EU Commissioner Carlos Moedas at the European Parliament in Brussels. Would be great to see a UK bio pick up the award.

The crucial bit from today's RNS:- " the new candidate will go into clinical development at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital, where it will be tested in humans at the Covance-Royal Liverpool University Hospital Clinical Research Unit." The development plan to take this compound out of the lab and into the clinic is already in place. There won't be that period of uncertainty that most bios face regarding how and when they'll be able to take the product into human trials.

Yes looks that way. Have to admit that I have only just started researching here. Initial thoughts are that with so many employees cash burn will be high. It seems that much of the pre-clinical work is funded through collaborations as with the Pierre Fabre and NHS agreements even so future funding may be an issue. I guess much will hinge on whether or not AstraZeneca take their collaboration agreement with Redx one stage further and exercise their option to progress development with the oncology target. On the plus side there are only just under 65m shares in issue but future equity issues must be a possibility.
