My guess is that Omicron does in fact impact performance in the field.

MCB55 - I believe it will be months. Not 6, but months. If it were a quick fix (weeks) they’d have hidden the issue. There were ‘no’ sales to disrupt, after all. The FDA approval process could have exposed it. Therefore Avacta had to inform the market.

I was also surprised that Mologic weren’t helping resolve the Mab issue. It’s their test, after all.

I really hope my judgement is way off. I’m a big fan of the diagnostics potential.

Supply and demand. Demand gets weaker by Avacta’s lack of communication. AS runs so close to the wire with his deadlines. He has created this in a lot of ways. I’m not buying that Covid has delayed the trials.

Avacta has some fantastic minds and people that should be working for big pharma. They’re here to disrupt. I believe data will be positive. The wait, however, is frustrating.

Mmm… been thinking about this. I think and support that PI’s struggle to value at present with NO data. However, if data is good, AS will present the info ala Myles then they will.

It’s not entirely a PI issue here, it’s Avacta’s communication where fault should be laid.

Yep, Affimer proof of concept. I also believe the achievement in becoming a diagnostic business is worth a great deal of credit. Apatamer group are valued at £90m. This should show how valuable the Affimer diag business actually is. Ironic the AS has ramped it in reverse.

I think he needs new presentation material. He can’t ‘sell’ the LFT anymore based on info in the public domain - that’s been a bit of a mess. AVA potential is known to all. They could have added (maybe have) at these levels without the roadshow.

Two options;

1. He’s out with his begging bowl because cash is running out and presents the same ramps.

2. He releases price sensitive info re AVA positivity. The II’s are lined up ready with the cheque books. A lot of nervous PI’s will sell up north of £2, which is where the II’s will bite their hands off.

Option 1 is far less likely. He’s lost almost all faith in the market to get away with ramping the potential without delivering. I’m convinced CAG have advised him of this.

Therefore, news and a new positive ‘hook’ could be on the cards.

Here’s to hoping - nobody knows either way. Those that talking in facts do not know any more than us.
