Bella - the mention of ‘a’ first UK test to receive CE. They should/could have confidently said MeduFlow. If it was a quick pause, gearing up for world domination, there’d haven been no problem.

More oddly, Medusa are the ‘manufacturer’ of MeduFlow, the test they achieved self test approval. Yet imply it was a service provider to A N Other.

I thought the same. What they’ve clearly been good at, is organising clinical validation, CE stuffs, regulator stakeholder management.

They have Pablo Castan and the Spanish hospital on the payroll. The ‘consultancy’ model might be less risky.

That said, they’re proud of the manufacturer bit in bold. Let’s see.

Why not mention AffiDX here;

It’s certainly not a conclusive F U to MeduFlow, but worth keeping an eye on.

22nd Dec RNS; Avacta partnered with Medusa Healthcare ("Medusa") to obtain regulatory approval for the AffiDX® antigen test for consumer self-testing and has now received the CE mark from a European Notified Body.

I think the trigger will be time based. I.e., they decide when they want to exit. We’ve seen that they’ll sell into any PI buying with ease. For example, a US hospital coming on line is not going to cut it on its own.

Certainly Luke. Their closing is likely to bring a bigger rerate than dose escalation and LFT self use CE combined. There’s opportunity in catastrophe.
