Hi Folks, I've come over from SLP as i heard something was going on here, i nearly bought in at 40p (only small amounts i'm a relatively poor man with no other hobbies really) but glad i didn't. I hope this bounces up for all of you that are sitting on a loss. Does anyone know what's caused this to sink? Good luck all

Just 1 thing i'm not sure about on the IWeb site is about the below, may be a dumb question! • A foreign currency conversion charge of 1.5% applies to international trades I have shares in companies like Kenmare, POG, MIRL etc... would these be subject to this charge? Don't remember paying any more with barclays... Thanks

Hi All, After a bit of advice if you'd be so kind. I've recently started to buy and sell a lot more in cheaper shares and so i've taken a bit more notice of the charges i'm paying with Barclays Stockbrokers. I currently pay a flat fee of £11.95 which considering the small values i invest is quite a chunk, i've had a scout around and i've found a provider called iweb which offers trades for £5 a go and no other fees. Has anyone used these + know of any other similar priced? I don't expect to go over 20 trades in any given period... I won't hold anyone to their suggestions!! Thanks guys

These forums welcome differing views of course else what's the point of having them :-) Is anyone on here buying these types of shares for the (very) long term dividend income as well as so gains? I think the bank has great fundamental principles and might not make as much as the dodgy banks but will always be a consistent payer?

Looking for a bit of advice if someone would be so kind. I notice a lot of you use various banks etc to buy your shares. I'm relatively new to investing and set up a market master account a few years back with barclays. I pay £14 a quarter if I don't trade and pay around £11 commission for buying or selling. I was just wondering if this is a normal kind of share account with normal charges? I have no grievances with them the service is good just wondered if I was using the right kind of account! Cheers!
