If you look at the accounts for H1 £2.8m of the £3.8m drop in EBIT was due to exchange rates. That means there's a £1m drop in profit due to an increase in the minimum wage, opening 30 new stores and hiring some new experienced heads to drive the business forward. When you're opening new stores and still making £23m a half i'm really not worried!

Hate to say it but seems my original prediction of around 80p was right, they obviously valued us when we were sitting around the 55p mark. Crystal is right in saying that because the offer is shares (of which CLIN are at an all time high) we could be facing a further depreciation in value if there's a sell off after completion. To quote dragons den, for that reason i'm out at 78.87p. My genuine condolences to all you LTH's that are sitting on a loss here and GL for the future all. Beev out.

Personally I think Clinigen may have expressed an interest back in the days when we were 55p, and just and interest as SamJ says they're not in the "standard" position for a takeover. I think that both share prices will take a drop on 14th if no offer has been made and that now seems more and more likely as the 13th approaches. I also think it will drop a little towards the 13th too. If no offer I see the drop initially being overdone and testing the nerve of any new investors here (myself included) but this should be seen as a top up opportunity as you all have mentioned the long terms looks good here. All just IMO of course...

i have the sense that there isn't actually going to be an offer after all, which probably explain the drop today. 5% is a lot when you have volume like ours...

Agreed when they would have been sizing QP up the share price was 55p, we had the leap up to 75p just before the announce so my thinking has always been 80p tbh. Even though my average is 69p I'd still reject it as I think long term this is worth holding.

Said I would buy here once shorts start reducing but after last week's increase they've gone up from 13% to over 14%, seems like a bold move unless they know something we don't...?
