George Frangeskides, Chairman at ALBA, explains why the Pilbara Lithium option ‘was too good to miss’. Watch the video here.
sorry i'm not much of an economist but i'm assuming high inflation would be less borrowing as it's less affordable (so bad for Lloyds)?
Goes against what silly old Boris is saying when he says everyone will be able to afford to buy!?
Sharebel it's not de-ramping, it's definitely relevant for the reasons outlined in my prior post.
To suggest otherwise is blindly ramping as of course it has an impact, let's just be pragmatic and discuss rather than being an Ostrich...
Sharebel the PFG SOA is massively relevant here, it's really a knife in our hopes of getting the SOA passed IMO.
We have all said a risk within the FCA thought process is that it could set a precedent for every man and his dog to do it - well here we are...
Vinson agree with most points except the relending in q1, my interpretation from the last results webcast and Gary’s video is that the lending will start as soon as possible but as soon as it makes sense so he’s retraced on that slightly.
It makes sense though at this point, as the criteria which will be used to analyse claims under the soa goes hand in hand with those to enable future lending and I for one am happy to wait so it’s right this time!
Franky 5p or 15p, still not a great deal either way IMO :-P
I think we've already gone over how I wished they'd gone in much higher from the off.
But if Amigo does get a no vote and goes into administration, existing customers will still be able to claim and get their balances reduced, so the FOS will still have an interest and purpose. Not sure what that means for their fee though...
SR no the value is the “live” weighting you have in, so the FOS is a big player in the vote and so are the live customers.
Past customers is the query, these would likely get a nominal value however a smooth move would be the past value of their loans. That is purely speculation though...
SR I think it will actually be weight the other way around I.e those that have a value outstanding will have more of a say than those past customers, this is because the vote is both 50% majority based but more importantly 75% value based
I think that was my question though, existing borrowers have a different weighted vote to past borrowers, so whilst there might be more of them they mean less, especially given the vote needs 75% of value too
John he says both in the video.
More interesting is does anyone know the difference in lithium content of ion vs solid state batteries?
SSD’s are the future and getting close to reality so will need to understand if this increases or decreases demand. The bcn website only talks about being a supplier to ion manufacturers so is a bit outdated
As mentioned below in the short term stock is moving around fast and people want to trade before settling down into something longer term.
Think of it as growing up and then getting married, only make sure you don’t leave it too long and all the good women are gone!
Yeh I’ve just seen a 12 billion buy off book too, I think Boris gave some cash to Megan and Harry to invest here because they’re a bit hard up. I also heard Oprah is ploughing in right now so expect a tr1 from those guys tomorrow too
