Timed 15.35pm today SPD announced the share buyback will be though till march 2017 and be for 15% of the total company shares but for no more than 300p per share total to be paid !

The buyback will be for up to a maximum of 29,825,290 ordinary shares, representing approximately 5% of the Company's issued share capital, for an aggregate maximum consideration of £89,475,870, and is expected to continue during the period leading up to 21 October 2016 when the Company goes into a close period in respect of its half year results. So Only 8 Days left to buy back circa 25M shares ! I don't think they want to pay these higher prices hence the broker note put out yesterday @250p by MA mates at Goldman !

It's better for the company and LT holders if the shares are being bought back at these lower levels so happy if the price stays in the 260/280 range till mid October when the company enters a closed period. GLA

I was happy a few weeks back when we closed at 305p so now very happy with all the events and share price including the AGM that I attended mostly for the tour of the warehouse�Very impressive. MA has told shareholders to give him one year to make them happy, I'm going to give him that as I think he will deliver, AGM next year share price IMV 600p + so worth waiting for and any ups and downs on the way are good fun for trading 10%/20% of your holding so enjoy it chaps ! Best to look at the chart for 344 rather than 334 !!

Sorry I mean any time it dips below 300p the company starts buying not 200p !

I was in Canada and stocked up on a big lot of these at 4/5am in the morning over a fey days in the summer and had dark looks from my wife when she entered around 7/8am ! Now she says why didn't you tell me to invest also ! There was lots of talk on this board of it going to 200p but I felt sure that MA would not allow that and that 250p would be the bottom. Any time it dips below 200p the company starts buying again so we have a good base and retail has not taken the hit that many in the remain camp hoped it would ! Im in Long here. GLA. RNS on the JD site on15th shows this so now they don't need to report any more sales, Maybe SPD are selling that stake to free up the cash to buy back their own shares, Smart move if so when you compare the market caps of the two companies, JD seems a very expensive stock at 1300p IMO !

The company hasn't bought any shares for a few days now and the last purchase was only 18,000 shares. I'm not at all sure that the company will buy back the 29m shares by the 7th Sept AGM !
