At least the pain is being shared,at the current rate Frasers shareholding now has the value of a SW1 three bed apartment rather than the mansion of years past. As debt is relentlessly paid down, the EV seems to head south as well. Won’t it be great when instead of lining the bankers pockets shareholders get a few crumbs. As I get older I realise that power resides with the institutions with capital. Cash poor, asset rich companies are beholden to the financiers. It’ll be nice to see the tables turned....

& PMO don’t have kraken or Magnus, but they both keep bondholders & banks in caviar & champagne

But ENQ, in pe comparison is 50% cheaper than PMO, so expect bigger bounce when it happens

Imagine what a fire in Hormuz would do to prices. The Iranians would love sticking it to the USA & hopefully give Trump a taste of his own medicine . I don’t think the Russians would object either as the extra petro dollars/distraction would come in very handy, given Putins current bind.

Grippa, re Trump & unforeseen consequences. If a butterfly (if you can believe it), can change weather patterns on the other side of the world, how the hell can anyone make sense or understand the implications of Trumps actions. Great article by Niall Ferguson in yesterday’s Times, basically saying the same, some of his fist swinging will have produced positive outcomes, some not so good. The problem is it’s too complicated to identify good actions from bad. Recent example John Deere are seeing slower demand for their tractors a direct consequence of Trumps tariffs. I bet he didn’t see that one, but so much stuff being effected that’s not reported,but will no doubt have major knock ons.

Sorry to pontificate, but on a new strand, i buy into a big stimulus post Brexit. I think the govt will throw everything at the economy including cuts in both Vat & also corporate & personal tax cuts plus increases in expenditure. How’s it paid for will be a future issue. Similarly Numpty once his got a meaningful interest cut in place will hopefully seal a deal with China. Although, it’s currently hard to be positive, I think there is every likelihood for markets to reach new highs within the next 12 months. What happens after that could be a concern. Here endeth the lesson.

I believe Numptys objective is to get the Fed to drop interest rates, hence the sabre rattling, once this is in the bag, deal with China can be done. That’s if the Chinese want it.
