High risk investment I know but even these figures shocked me.

Over the almost 30 years since its creation the AIM All-Share index has a negative return of 21% compared with a positive return of 385% return from the footsie 250.

Sure there have been some big winners, Jet 2, hotel Chocolat, Fever tree, Youngs Brewery, Vertu etc. but what are the chances of picking a winner?

However, just to cheer you up having lost you job, I have lost money in every Aim share I've been in. It's just a side show and every serious investor should treat it as such.

Oh! I did make a nominal profit on Bloe, getting out when PHs true colours began to show.

During those 18 months no doubt salaries have been drawn. Lend money at punitive rates, draw money and expenses from it and then get it all back plus the interest .
