The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring financial educator and author Jared Dillian has been released. Listen here.
Seem to remember CEO Joel Len off last year saying something like - Don't expect much in 2014, 2015 will be our big year - !
'Materially ahead of market expectations'
Looks like the share's been going down because of the US threat. Was the nice bit of buying today down to this report ? http://www.pokernewsdaily.com/national-governors-associations-speaks-out-against-online-poker-ban-25766/ from yesterday ?
This share was over £5 not long ago. Now trading on a PE of 24 - despite the potential growth. What are the negatives ? - US ban on online poker ? but seems more and more unlikely as time goes on . Strong £ affecting US earnings ? - Some small effect . What else ? Maybe AGM next week may give some answers. Anyone off to IOM ? Anyway just bought some more.
http://www.4flush.com/online-poker-news/restoration-of-americas-wire-act-bill-introduced-into-legislation/16649 Looks like this bill is going ahead to ban online poker. Amazed that no reference to it in todays results. If it goes ahead it will have some impact on the share price (when this happened 7 years ago (?) the share price dropped off a cliff) but do agree that a lot has changed since and the current price + more can probably be justified without online US poker. Best to wait, keep upto date with whats happening, and get in quick if the bill gets thrown out.
More on this - they're certainly ramping it up- as long as the Americans don't ban it! http://www.4flush.com/online-poker-news/optimal-payments-partners-with-borgataparty-poker-to-provide-neteller-payment-options/16647
Maybe it's this ? http://www.4flush.com/online-poker-news/us-online-gambling-threatened-yet-again/16605
Bit worrying that this drop coincides with FY results next week.. Does someone know something we don't ?
Hoping to see a good increase in trading since January - and a lot of optimism. 150p got to be back on the cards.

25% Shareholder selling out !
After the amazing rise I've had with these (from 56p to £4.34)) thought I'd better take some profit as don't see the rise continuing for a while anyway. Was a bit disappointed with trading up-date after the fantastic interim and reckon the p/e is still about 30 now. Will review the other 50% after seeing comments by CEO in March. Thanks to whoever tipped Moni - as have done OK with them.
How do you know its Monday ?- not on web-site . Anyway getting the results out early again has to be good news - £5 next week ?
Looks like a lot of small buying. is it being tipped by one of the papers?
Could be the relaxation of Online Poker in New Jersey where company is approved. http://www.4flush.com/online-poker-news/new-jersey-senator-to-introduce-legislation-for-international-online-gambling/15338
Have been following these for a while. In Feb 2011 Netteller (then called Neovia) took over Optimal Payments. This boosted their processing revenues from £17m in 2010 to £87m in 2011 and then £139m in 2012, (£90m Ist half 2013). At same time their Netteller (e-wallets) revenue stayed around £40m (£44m, £40m, £39m) but this year saw increase from £16m Ist half 2012 to £28m 1st half 2013 due to 'new initiatives' -mobiles/foreign. If we see the processing revenues continue to grow at these sort of rates and thats combined with a massive jump in the e-wallet business due to american poker/mobile growth etc the shares should really motor. I hope so they owe me from 2006 !
These shares - then Netteller - were about £8 in 2006 when On-line poker was just starting and they were a leading processor. Then the americans banned it out of the blue on 'Black Friday' and they were screwed along others such as Sportingbet.
Thanks. Also interesting - http://www.uspoker.com/blog/optimal-payments-licensing-new-jersey-pokerstars-tell/6318/
